I need a kick-ass Brussels sprouts recipe! It also needs to be pork-free. I am determined that this is the year I am going to find a way to love Brussels sprouts!
Thanks! |

This is the one I started with: http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/goldencrusted-brussels-sprouts-recipe.html
Now I just roast them in a high heat oven with oil, salt, and pepper. So delicious! Another thing you can do is shred them and use to make a hash with sweet potatoes and some kind of meat (turkey sausage?). I usually season with chipotle chili powder and throw in some maple syrup at the end for a nice sweet, spicy kick. |
| Maple syrup! |
Oh and lots of butter |

Brussels sprouts with grapes. I make this several times a year, easy and delicious!

| Peel, halve then add Evoo, salt, pepper cook on high. Voila. Delicious! |
Add some thinly-sliced shallots to the mix and this is my go-to for pork-free Brussels sprouts. The outer leaves that fall off and get crispy are amazing. |
+1. Simple and good. |
You can also toss with a little balsamic vinegar after cooking, which is also delicious. |
This, plus add a sprinkle of brown sugar (not too much). Place into a bowl, add dried cranberries, bleu cheese crumbles and pecans. Toss. It's a huge hit when I bring it to parties. I end up with an empty bowl every time. |

This one from Joy of Cooking - so good

The Ina Garten one is a classic and amazing. Basically the same as PP who said to toss them in olive oil and roast but with a little more direction:
