Have lots of cookies to bake for the holidays. I want to slowly start preparing a batch or two a week in December. Does the dough actually freeze well? Everything I've read says yes. Specifically, I'm making peanut butter cookies, white chip chocolate, chocolate chip, and ginger.
If like to leave a batch of frozen ginger dough for my dad as it's his favorite. I don't want to bake a bunch if they're going to end up dried out. Dough will be rolled into balls and frozen then vacuum sealed. |
| Freeze away! It's best to freeze dough in my experience- especially for drop cookies like choc chip. I portion the dough, put it on a cookie sheet and freeze for a few hours, then store in a freezer bag with all the air squished out. I've never frozen rolled and baked cookies, but I have frozen baked choc chip and they've turned out fine. |
| Thanks! I am going to make a few batches today and bake them for Thanksgiving. |
