Wife won't let me buy the XboxOne

I'm not going to call her DW. But at my salary level I should be able to buy anything I want. She thinks "it's for kids" even though this is how we stream netflix and hulu. And yes I play Madden with my college buddies at 2am somenights when she's snoring off her wine. I'm actually quite upset about this.

Then just buy it.

This whole post is babyish.

Buy it anyway. She isn't going to give up the $$$ and if she does you can re-enter the dating market and take care of your kids w/o having to account for her whining.

I kind of agree that this seems childish, both on her part for saying no and on your part for posting this here. That is assuming that you do in fact have a salary level that makes the price tag no big deal.

But, in the interests of keeping peace in your marriage, perhaps offer to buy her a similarly priced "toy" (not necessarily really a toy, but something she'd enjoy), and see if that makes her happy.

Haha I'm a guy, this post sounds totally fake (but funny nonetheless).

If this was a post by a woman, there would be outrage at the use of the word let.

What do you mean she doesn't 'let' you. You don't have to ask permission, your spouse doesn't get to tell you what to do. She is controlling. Are you being abused?

that is pretty much the standard response to the word 'let'.
