Somewhat but more the heart disease, which compounds the dementia because the heart is not pumping enough oxygen up to the brain. |

My dad had both (heart failure and dementia). The ankle swelling could be a symptom of heart failure (low circulation) — which, like PP said, could make dementia worse. Towards thje end of my dad’s life, he was napping throughout the day and would wake up extra early, then nap a hour or so later. |

For sure. Putting aside the insanity of what spews from his mouth, he’s having a lot of trouble standing and walking. |
