She is very pretty, but she is doing an absolutely terrible job and comes off as a lobotomized moron in almost every situation, It doesn't come off as "lovely" it comes off as super lazy and unprofessional. They're both extremely average in both intelligence and demeanor, but I suppose that's where a lot of their appeal comes from. Harry comes off as significantly more well-spoken and intelligent, which is interesting because he's not known to be book smart, per se.

If one believes the rumors that their marriage is effectively over and headed for divorce at some unspecified date, she’s going out on solo tours to try and raise her profile for a post-divorce life. If one believes the rumors that their marriage is effectively over but will stay together for appearances’ sake, she’s trying to make herself look better and create a parallel throne for herself (and yes I know that’s not how it works).

Hmmm interesting theory. But raising her international profile isn't going to do anything for her in a divorce scenario. Diana was able to ring out Kensington Palace apartments, her continued use of title, and $19 million because she was willing to go public in the War of the Wales. Fergie in contrast got $1 million and kicked out of the country in disgrace. Still is treated as a pariah 20+ years later.

Now if she was going to do a parallel throne - I would say she has already done a good job of making herself a 'steady' rock the monarchy could rely on to also be there and not create drama - like the Queen Mother. But in the 21st century you need to be able to do more as a Queen than dress cute and smile 'with a rictus grin'. Phillip was a hard, active worker and founded successful programs with tangible benefits.

As for lazy Wills. Its incredible they let him get away with what they did for so long. All the men in his family started founding, creating, and engaging with passion projects in their 20s. All of them kept up with them as they had kids in their 30s. Only he peaced out until 40 and now they can't drag him back no matter what.

The two of them are an incredibly lazy pair. She is, but he was raised to do this! I cannot imagine how the Queen just let them sit on their butts. He could barely be bothered to show up to his part time helicopter job, thus screwing over both his colleagues and the people who needed the service, as well as a normal person who should have had the job. And the idea of letting a direct heir to the throne just *uck off and do whatever? JFC, he’s the heir to the throne.

It’s not like royal work is sooooo onerous, and most of them were able to make their role into something of a passion project. Prince Charles works on environmental stuff and the Prince’s Trust, Princess Anne works doggedly for multiple causes and Harry managed to make multiple projects. Even Meghan came in and hit the ground running. William and Kate’s failures to do even the bare minimum is beyond offensive.

If one believes the rumors that their marriage is effectively over and headed for divorce at some unspecified date, she’s going out on solo tours to try and raise her profile for a post-divorce life. If one believes the rumors that their marriage is effectively over but will stay together for appearances’ sake, she’s trying to make herself look better and create a parallel throne for herself (and yes I know that’s not how it works).

Again, more rumors, but born out by the absolutely terrible job William does: he doesn’t want to work. He wants the title, the money and all the fun stuff, but doesn’t want to have to do the pole dance of royal work.

Hmmm interesting theory. But raising her international profile isn't going to do anything for her in a divorce scenario. Diana was able to ring out Kensington Palace apartments, her continued use of title, and $19 million because she was willing to go public in the War of the Wales. Fergie in contrast got $1 million and kicked out of the country in disgrace. Still is treated as a pariah 20+ years later.

Now if she was going to do a parallel throne - I would say she has already done a good job of making herself a 'steady' rock the monarchy could rely on to also be there and not create drama - like the Queen Mother. But in the 21st century you need to be able to do more as a Queen than dress cute and smile 'with a rictus grin'. Phillip was a hard, active worker and founded successful programs with tangible benefits.

As for lazy Wills. Its incredible they let him get away with what they did for so long. All the men in his family started founding, creating, and engaging with passion projects in their 20s. All of them kept up with them as they had kids in their 30s. Only he peaced out until 40 and now they can't drag him back no matter what.

The two of them are an incredibly lazy pair. She is, but he was raised to do this! I cannot imagine how the Queen just let them sit on their butts. He could barely be bothered to show up to his part time helicopter job, thus screwing over both his colleagues and the people who needed the service, as well as a normal person who should have had the job. And the idea of letting a direct heir to the throne just *uck off and do whatever? JFC, he’s the heir to the throne.

It’s not like royal work is sooooo onerous, and most of them were able to make their role into something of a passion project. Prince Charles works on environmental stuff and the Prince’s Trust, Princess Anne works doggedly for multiple causes and Harry managed to make multiple projects. Even Meghan came in and hit the ground running. William and Kate’s failures to do even the bare minimum is beyond offensive.

kate spoke plenty at the young kids roundtables she was on when she went to visit Denmarks early childhood development center. Shes shy but passionate about kids - shes never liked the spotlight and is doing a really lovely job. Nothing she does screams look at me!!!! maybe you like that, maybe you dont but shes certainly intelligent and certainly articulate.

Absolutely not. She is very pretty, but she is doing an absolutely terrible job and comes off as a lobotomized moron in almost every situation, It doesn't come off as "lovely" it comes off as super lazy and unprofessional. Articulate? Are you kidding me? She stumbles around and sounds like she has a 4th grade education half the time, forget about when she is in the presence of an actually intelligent and articulate person, she cowers and demures.

well we disagree then. i loved her podcast appearance when she talked about being a mother.

She stays under the radar, looks pretty, and tries not to outshine William. Who knows if she’s smart or not? My guess is average, like him.

They're both extremely average in both intelligence and demeanor, but I suppose that's where a lot of their appeal comes from. Harry comes off as significantly more well-spoken and intelligent, which is interesting because he's not known to be book smart, per se.
