So, I got two pairs of winter pumps that I plan to wear to work with pants. Both pairs have a little strap in the middle-ish of the foot. Barefoot? Nice socks??? Dress stockings or socks?
This is very important for family harmony. TIA |
If you are wearing them with pants, I would wear knee highs. You'll be comfortable but your feet will look nice.

Advantage: sister.
Anyone else? |
You would have to be some kind of skank to wear shoes like that without socks, expecially after Labor Day. Hose at a minimum, a thin sock would be more complimentary for a more full-figured woman. |
What is it about a sock that is more complimentary for a full-figured woman?
I want to make sure we're all clear: I'm not talking about wearing pumps barefoot with dresses or skirts. Only with pants. |
Hose can make it look like you are trying too hard. Expecially with dresses, but also with pants. I am assuming that the shoes are black, but with your fasion sense, I think I should also ask if they are white patent leather. |
I'm not sure what you mean PP. First you say that hose may look like I'm trying too hard, but then you insult my "fasion" sense. This is "expecially" confusing. |
HA! funny. I say no socks. |
I would always wear either hose or knee highs with pumps - certainly not socks or bare foot - in the winter. |
Hello sock. Meet puppet. |
Another vote for knee highs at this point of the year |
I hate knee highs (I always feel like a grandma). Perhaps full length hose; I like the extra layer under pants in the winter. |
BAREFOOT. People do not wear knee highs anymore.
Trust me. Knee highs are yucky. |
OP, is it you that doesn't like knee highs? If so, then go without anything (don't put on a clunky sock...with a pump?!)
As for skanky, I'm afraid I must be because I don't ever wear pantyhose in the winter. Bare legs, even with dresses (I just make sure to wear a long coat to work). I don't think with pants anyone would even notice. |
I always preferred control top hose, but then I need them. |
