| Welcome back Holton mom. |
Actually no, my wife posted that from her cell earlier on this morning. Our DD doesn't go there, but was impressed by the way the H girls dominated the competition. We didn't see the end of the show, but when we left, H had 810, and the other schools had 400, and the other 340 or something like that. So, no it's not H mom, posting ..lol. |

| Haha is someone really posting about "It's Academic"? That's pretty good. |
| Who the hell thinks there is only one person who posts about Holton and keeps calling this imaginary being "Holton mom?" And why do you go on posts that have anything to do with Holton if you don't have a kid there or obviously harbor some bizarre hatred of the school? Your child's school must really suck if you can't understand why some folks are proud of their's. |
| I had an old roommate who taught at Holton. She was awesome and everything she mentioned about be school sounded awesome. I would have died to go to a HS like that and am sad I have a boy! Not that I could have ever afforded it, but you know. Oh, and the campus is as nice as my college campus. Suuuuper lucky girls to go there. |
Every high school in this area has been on "It's Academic." How goofy to post because Holton won this week. In the immortal words of Ja'mie from "Summer Heights High," . . . "no offense, but it's true." |
| The score was record high and only once has their been a higher score than Holton's this past weekend. People are proud and it was impressive. |
| The highest score on the DC version of the show was 815 and Holton's 805 points is the second highest to date. |
Still seems a bit silly to post this -- if nothing else, because DCUM is so snarky and it seems such an insular post. Talk about it in the carpool line or on the sidelines of the soccer field. Maybe if they win "It's Academic" outright it's worth a post (and maybe they will, or maybe they just came up against a couple of sacrificial lamb teams). |
| And by the way, the Holton posters have been coming off as a little bit overeager -- getting SUPER EXCITED about an actress mentioning her Holton alum status at the Emmys (Julia Louis-Dreyfuss), or the fact that a woman who was an exchange student at Holton is now heading the World Bank. Now it's the second highest score on "It's Academic" that is stopping the presses? Hee. |

Wow...what a bunch of HATERS on this thread! Why would any normal, rational adult resort to bashing kids who are being praised for academic excellence? Go Holton...keep up the good work girls!
