Kate Middleton post-baby ...

Maybe others have already commented, but it seems Kate Middleton is looking *just* the same as before being pregnant (!):

Some people back bounce quickly. I was one of the lucky ones who was wearing pre-maternity clothes when I left the hospital. I imagine it isn't common, but it is possible

lots of people just have good genes. She appeared to be naturally thin, pre-child. I am not shocked that she is thin post-child.

I'm sorry but the grrl needs a haircut...it's so not flattering for her face and stature. Gah.

... OP here, I just found an article on the same thing. She indeed must have the genes to be so thin again. I don't know anyone in real life who bounced back like this:

It's seriously not that hard. I honestly find it more perplexing when women are talking about holding onto baby weight years later. Most women I know have no problem losing the weight. She's young and fit, it was never going to be an issue.

I think they had a surrogate carry the baby. For real.

My SIL and I wore our prematernity clothes after giving birth going home. We're both size 0s and gained 23 lbs while pg. SIL basically lost all the weight after giving birth and I was back to pre-pregnancy weight in 6 wks and I had a c-section.

What on earth would be your basis for believing that.

Original quoted PP here. I'm a size 6-8 and gained 18 pounds during my pregnancy. 90% of the weight was gone 24 hours after giving birth and the last 10% were gone within a couple of days. I think a lot has to do with genes.

she is genetically blessed. I want to hate her, but I really think she's a cool chick, so I won't

As for why some women don't just bounce back, I can give you my answer - thyroid disease. I didn't have it pre-baby, but it sprung up while I was pregnant and never went back to normal. I am now diagnosed with Hashimoto's, which is extreme hypothyroidism. Lucky for me, I haven't gained massive amounts of weight, but an extra 5-10 lbs for me is HARD to lose.

Not to mention I was never as fit as she is, so my abs got completely effed in the process of having one baby. I'm petite, plus due to a pelvic abnormality, my child couldn't drop and just kept growing straight out. Nothing short of plastic surgery is fixing it, trust me.

Ha! I wish I'd been like you ladies! I was a size 4-6 pre-pregnancy (though gained a lot), and my legs were so swollen after giving birth (c-section) that my maternity jeans were too tight to put on. I had to go home in giant stretchy pj pants. I couldn't wear my maternity pants or any pair of shoes I owned for 2 weeks. It was awful.

I looked just like Kate Middleton after I had my baby. In fact, I am Kate Middleton.

Ha! must be nice. It took me a long time to lose that extra layer of blubber I got from pregnancy. I remember thinking that I could easily lose a couple pounds a week, then be in pre-preg clothes before going back to work. Not so much. And it wasn't for lack of trying. But, unlike Kate Middelton (and most women you know, apparently), I just do not have good genes. I am not naturally thin and it is a constant fight. Boo!
