starbucks blows and krispy kreme donuts don't taste as good...dunkin's footprint in DC is terrible.
Why is it so bad? surely a franchisee would see the opportunity in dupont circle. should be one near farragut and between mcpherson and metro center. one Dunkies west of 16th st is ridiculous. |
| There is one near Farragut north. |
i just looked this up and google maps is useless. thanks, i never noticed it before but its listed on the dunkies site.
i still maintain they need to expand more.....one in dupont please! |
| It's at 1700 K. It's new! But I agree with you. I like them more than any other donut place. |
| Oh and they used to have one in Dupont at 17 and P but it closed like 3 years ago or something. There's a lot of donut and cupcake and froyo competition in the district. |
cupcake froyo is passe. i just want an honest coffee and donut. if krispy kreme can hold down that amazing location in dupont, dunkies should have zero issues somewhere in that area. |
| Well. There's that hipster donut place and 21 & P now. And then that fried chicken place (GBD) that has donuts too. On too of the KK at the circle. GBD sucks but I hear the hipster donut place is amazing. |
| Top^ |
i thought zeke's closed at 21 & p. i'll have to check out gdb...but if its like astro's then i'm out. $2+ for a god-damn donut is ridiculous. |
| There's a new one at 14th and L. |
Well, they did have issues. Closed a location at 17th & P as a PP noted. I, for one, would rather have a real bakery than a disgusting chain. |
| Dunkins better than Krispy? No way. Dunkins are stale. |
i love that there's a donut thread right below the obesity thread.
|
I grew up in Krispy Kreme country and they were stale, I never got why people liked them. Then KK became a huge fad. I live 2 blocks from the Dupont one and it's only good fresh... I feel like dunkin has more variety and doesn't taste as sickly sweet at KK. That's my wee lil opinion. |

Their coffee is the best. When I stop at one in Arlington, most of the customers are ordering coffee only.
I can't stand the over-roasted, over-priced Starbucks shit anymore! |
