drew barrymore looks and sounds very foolish on TCM

Drew Barrymore has been the guest programmer with Robert Osborne on TCM's "The Essentials" series (every sat night at 8...great series).

She has rich hollywood provenance. But she sounds like a complete airhead when introducing and discussing a film and it's magnified being sat across from Robert Osborne.

I hope they get someone like Jodie Foster or Meryl Streep as the programmer for next year.

The Valley Girl speak would be fine IF she ever had anything intriguing or incisive to say. In a town where there's tons of perceptive film directors/actors/critics/historian, it's tedious of hearing her banal commentary.

Drew Barrymore is not stupid. She has her own production company and developed movies for herself and other female stars. She may not be great on that show, but she's no dummy.

Business-wise. She hires smart people and follows their advice. Lana Turner did the same thing and died a rich woman.

she's had moderate success as a producer and film financier....however with her background, she already started on 2nd/3rd base regarding that.

I don't think there is anyone in Hollywood who's bloodlines are richer than hers.
