| I met a friend for a late breakfast yesterday and the food was awful. I used to eat there all the time when I was younger and the food was ok. (Granted , it was often after a night of partying so maybe I was just really hungry). Yesterday though, it wasn't just bland it actually tasted bad and I couldn't eat it. Even the coffee sucked. What's the deal? Has ihop always been this bad and I'm just noticing? |
| Always look up the health department inspection reports. That could help explain things. |
Eww I don't think I want to know now |
| I don't think it was ever on a hill in the first place. |
+1 It's been grim for as long as I can remember. |
| Has it really ever been uphill? |
That's what I thought! |
| Eating your own feces would be an improvement |
Or, if you ate there when you were really young, that could explain it. Everything is more awesome when you are little. Or we remember it more fondly. |

I went there about a year since the first time I graduated college fifteen years ago. I remember it as a great fun ave for late night or brunch pancakes.
Yeah, um, not any rowers. It was sooooo depressing. I went for brunch on a lark on and it was full of obese people who were there alone eating massive amounts of food. It made me feel so sad for them. |
You're grown up now, that's the difference...once during my teen drinking days I fantasized about a convenience store microwave steak sandwich til I bought one when I was sober. It was dry and gray and gross and I wondered wth I was craving..alcohol and/or youth cause some strange eating habits ihop food is good when young or drunk or both!

| It was never uphill. |
| I love their butter pecan syrup. Everything else is terrible. |
| It's great when it's the only sit down place to eat that is open. |
| It's always been terrible. Now Waffle House has always been amazing. It's one of the tragedies of my life (not really) that there's no Waffle Houses within a 50 mile radius of here. |
