When she stepped off the plane in Solani (Indian-British designer) I was hopeful she would lean into theme dressing for the week. I'm Indian-American and I am right there with you!! And the crazy thing is that they've been dressing their children in Indian clothes. They are far better dressed than her. She doesn't even need to be in a sari, she could wear something like her daughter is wearing (except obviously a longer top).

I'm of the opinion that Vance would be really pissed if Usha upstaged him because of her clothing like Jackie K. did with Kennedy.

Oh 100% it’s deliberate, right wing would have lost their minds if she represented U.S in Indian clothing, though they wouldn’t be too wrong on this one. At the end of the day she is representing the U.S and she is trying to stick to the clothing protocol of U.S.

I went to YLS and they definitely don’t teach that! I’ so old I predate Amy but not her husband Jed who was there a couple years before her.

I'm the PP and I went to CLS and I know they don't teach how to dress in law school - but if you have a powerful mentor (like Amy Chua and her creep husband) trying to arrange your life so that you will become the tippity top of society, that is something that they should be teaching you.
