sounds like there might people still in the fence about joining or leaving after committing, so maybe there will more offers send. Worse comes to worse this threat will get to 300 pages |
No it means that your kid was not a definite yes. Still may get an offer after coach considers and evaluates other talent
Eventually if you are not going to get a spot you will get a rejection but that might not happen until April or May… |
I'd take a "we are still evaluating come to our regular try outs in XYZ", but that's not possible in Unions (like the previous one or this new iteration.) I would assume the are ticking down the list on positionality, but at this point assume your kid won't begin the year as a starter. IF you have another offer in hand a email to say you need to make a decision may help prod them one way or another |
How about just a thanks for coming out. We are still sorting through things and will let you know one way or another by x date. |
Union ECNL girls are stronger than SYC NAL girls true, thats obvious. Nobody knows if FVU ECNL girls will better than SYC GA girls, that story is to be written. Nervous about who will be with FVU come August maybe? |
Yes, extremely. Rumors abound that the U17 YNT player really likes the Masters 18th green-like surface that is the Hayfield Auxiliary field. |
If that USYNT is smart, they don't even do club next season if they're on the U17 roster for the World Cup. Committed to college, and will have to play the WC in the fall? What's the point of club? |
Agreed, those 12-15 or so u-17 players who arent professionals yet should never touch a turf field again for any club.
Nobody has good fields if they're not grass too, so chill with the Hayfield sarcasm Brave dad with no FVU offer, and is idiotic enough to believe that RL is better than GA. |

First of all....why don't we keep specific kids out of this discussion. Regardless of what we're saying on this thread. And, your comment about why play club is so beyond ridiculous. |
How so? Why would someone who is in their senior year, already committed to college, likely has a spot on the USYNT for the U17 World Cup, play club and risk injury?
Nobody is mentioning names and there's zero negativity in this opinion. |
We know who you are talking about, and where would said kid train on the regular? Not playing HS, sure. |
If you don't think a player like that has the means or support system to maintain their training then I don't know what to tell you. |
I believe they are expected to keep up training / playing - I recently had this discussion with someone who's player was committed to D1. |
No - you took care of the idiocy with: “Nobody knows if FVU ECNL girls will better than SYC GA girls, that story is to be written. Nervous about who will be with FVU come August maybe?“ |
Genuinely curious on what people's opinions are on this, especially about publicly known athletes and coaches. Maybe there are some house rules around here but just generally speaking. For me, its totally strange when people come on here and call out these players that are as young as U10/11/12/13 etc. Its crazy. But with how things are changing now, when does it change? What about the kid who is the same age as this local USYNT player and played with her who signed a professional contract to play for Angel City? Should her name be kept out of everybody's mouth even if its not negative? |
