Terms of Service. It's a common Internet acronym. Are you new to the Internet? You don't seem to know the jargon or, in the case of this site, the rules.

For goodness' sake, PP, why are you beating OP up? Presumably he or she posted something that might be of interest to people on this board, and presumably "discuss" is rhetorical. Read the article or don't read it, whatever you prefer, but geez, leave it alone.

As for me, I think it is a great article. I plan to send it to the head of my kids' school.

Oh, please! What does this have to do with the article?

Look for half of DCUM to discredit him because he smoked weed at the end.

OP here. SORRY 13:25. Mea culpa. Who knew DCUM had terms of service? But anyway, now that you've nabbed me, you can get back to locating cyberbullies, terrorists and other miscreants. Meanwhile, okay, here's the thumbnail version of the article for those who are interested (13:25, you can stop reading): a dad tries to do his middle school-aged daughter's homework for a week. He can't. Nice send-up of homework lunacy. And yes, I agree, kids get too much homework. It has little to know educational value and it makes them miserable. That's why I send my kid to a progressive school with little homework, though even there, it feels like it takes constant effort to keep the homework for increasing and increasing.

I doubt half of DCUM is as irrational as your post suggests you are. I'm as anti-marijuana as anybody could be, and I wouldn't let a detail like that count toward "discrediting" this article.

Is it bad of me that the name Esmee sounds weird every time I read it? Kind of like that pinterest board on the kid name Quinoa and her amazing clothes.

I'm not irrational. I have no issue with weed.

My first grader was stressing out about grades and homework so far this school year. I am not even sure he will get grades yet. I told him he needs to relax or school will make him insane. I find it all worrisome because if he is so stressed now; what will middle and high school be like. First graders should run and play, NOT do homework!

Serious question: Are there any MS/HS options in DC that offer both a sharp, engaged peer group and a light-to-manageable homework load?
