| Looking for awesome Indian restaurant in Northern VA? What do you all recommend? Where do folks in the area from India go? |
| Was at Curry Mantra 2 in Falls Church this weekend. My mouth is still screaming from the goat vindaloo. Not much to look at on the outside, but the space itself is very pretty. Customers seemed to be a 50/50 mix of Indian and non-Indian. |
|
Thanks! Will have to give that a try. Another friend also recommended Minerva in Chantilly or Herndon...anyone else try that one before?
|
I like Minerva in Herndon. My fav is Haandi in Falls Church. I'm not Indian FWIW. |
| Also recommend Curry Mantra. For vegetarian go to Saravana--I was the only non-Indian there. My Indian friend loves Bollywood Bistro. |
|
Minerva is filthy. Gross.
haandi has the best food, hands down, I think. But Bollywood Bistro in Fairfax has really good food with a great atmosphere, clean and upscale. |
|
Angeethi in Herdon is awesome!
Jaipur in Fairfax was one of my favorites, but was sort of disappointed last time I went. It was still good -- but flavors seemed to be missing the "pop". Maybe it was just an off day. |
| I like the Minerva in Germantown but never been to the Herndon/Chantilly ones. Haandi in Bethesda is good; not sure if it's related to the one mentioned by the PPs. Another vote for Saravana. My favorite is Angeethi in Herndon. |
| Raaga in Falls Church |
| Haandi in Falls Church |
| LOVE Haandi. Curry Mantra 2 is good too. |
| Haandi, and Mayuri in Reston. |
| Rasoi in South Riding |
| Been watching the food truck race and I really wish there was a cheap Indian sandwich place around! |
| Haandi is yummy. angeethi has a great buffet for the price. If you want hole in the wall do shalimar in Herndon/sterling. Desi person here. |
