Monthly credit card bill

Anonymous
What is the average amount you charge on your credit card(s) per month, and what does it include? I think we spend between 3k and 5k per month, and although that includes practically all our expenses outside of mortgage and utilities, it bothers me that it is so high. Just trying to ascertain what's the norm around here.

Stuff adds up. I've seen people rack up 7k easily on just living. McDonalds, shoes for kids, bowling. Life costs money.

$9-$14K. But we use it for 99% of purchases.

$14K a month??

$3-$5k. That includes gas, all food, all other purchases, cell bill. We really need to reduce that to a steady $3k/month. We're a family of three, it can be done. We pay it off monthly and then get gift cards as rewards.

Also 3-5k. Includes utilities etc.

1-2K for my card (groceries, gas plus "essential" items like Fall clothes and kids' activities).

Paid off every month.

$1800-2k, not including utilities and cell phone.

2-2.5K for food, gas, aftercare, children's activities, and various household expenses. Keep trying to get it under 2K, without much success.

I'd say we spend in that range in a normal month. Higher if we have travel or home repairs that month.

Yep. Sometimes. Always paid off on time.

About $13k per month, including some work expenses. Always pay off on time in full. Use for everything (gas, groceries, coffee, utilities), basically anywhere we can use it since we get points.

Anywhere btw $3k and $5k, but preschool and aftercare are included. Cable and utilities are to. If we have travel or other big ticket items,it can be $6k or $7k.
