FCV has been the strongest club in northern Virginia for some time, look at the college recruits and YNT players
No question
Except McLean has always had a better class of college recruits and had more YNT players. They have also had several pros which FCV has not had. If you throw in team success, there is no comparison between McLean and FCV.
When FCV can get into the top league, then they can compare themselves with McLean until then lets simmer down.
FCV and college recruiting - MOST go to VA Tech with no money or play time. The rest go to Julie at W&M (she used to coach at FCV and her daughter goes to W&M). They also go with little to no money either. Then we head over to the military academies - Navy, VMI, Army. Any other commit and any other school did all the work themselves and play at top notch D1 schools. FCV does NOT have a college recruitment process or a path for talented players to make the YNT. Also, since Bobby P is banned from YNT - it is going to be less and less. Attempting to ruin players via discriminatory abuse and favoritism is more the FCV thing!
This is just bitterness and wrong. Anyone can look at the schools these players choose.
2021: Syracuse, GW, Radford, W&M, UMBC, JMU, VCU, Richmond, VMI.
2022: South Carolina, VT, VMI, Wake Forest
Why bash on kids and the schools in which they choose. Do you even know how difficult recruiting is right now? How challenging recruiting is in a normal year?
FCV year in and year out place kids at D1 schools. You may turn up your nose as an opposing team parent, but these kids worked hard to get there and FCV training, culture and relationships helped each and every player.
