I didn't mention it but I'm curious as to what is going on there. I did see that their TD left to SYC so maybe the person trying to stir things up in an SYC staffer.

i am so sick of this lmvsc and syc talk. it's over and done with, and i would've preferred if we focused on who stayed. i did this year, but i am just not sure about returning. i don't like the program this past year, i don't like the 'new' academy program, and in general we're just not happy

I posted it and I'm also sick of it but it just feels like certain people are clearly not from the club and trying to frustrate others. have you spoken to your coach and explained what you didn't like and see how they will change for next year?

Why do you keep insisting....the problem is not the coach, he's just doing his job!

I assume the Spring season would have been just like the Fall season, a disaster. The coach was nice but the competitive level wasn't there. I feel they just threw our kids to fend for themselves in an environment they were not prepared for. Academy style won't change that.

THANK you. We were in similar situation and I just can’t see how decisions from leaders are going to help the kids, let alone be the best decision. It’s upsetting to see that the club is supposed to be developing players, not this “keeping up with the Joneses”. DS plays red, and I have no problem playing in NCSL. There’s still great teams!!

If we play CCL, we're charged more. Hard to see the decision of 'staying in CCL' as more of a financial security means from us. We look at the CCL logo and think it's best, even though we struggle to compete/field teams. If we played only in NCSL, despite it being better for the collective of players, they wouldn't be able to take as much money from us (meaning smaller payday for them). Hard to see it any other way.

CCL:
At the Annual General Meeting (AGM), each active member shall submit a non-refundable, $5,000.00
declaration of teams deposit towards fees for the next seasonal year, for a full slate of teams, as
approved by the Board of Directors.
Prior to the start of the season, each active member shall submit fees, less the non-refundable,
$5,000.00 declaration of teams deposit, for a full slate of teams, as approved by the Board of Directors.
1. The fees are: $1,500.00 per team (U16-19); $600.00 per team (U11-15); $600.00 per team (U9-
U10).
2. The seasonal fees for each team shall exclude referee fees.
3. Fees shall be due June 15 for the following seasonal year. The fee for clubs more than 30 days in
arrears shall be an additional $750 per Club.

NCSL:
Age Group Fall 2019-Spring 2020 Team Fees
(includes referee fees)
U9-U10 $430/team
U11 $430/team
U12 $735/team
U13 $770/team
U14 $815/team
U15-U16 $890/team
U17 $955/team
U18-U19 Fall $995/team
U18-U19 Spring $750/team

Well that’s an eye-opener. Definitely could’ve saved money. Not sure if this would’ve impacted the refund (like, getting one).

I don’t think the problem is with Lee—he has been engaged and present with teams. The problem seems to be Lula, the directors cringed every time she attempted to talk on the Town Hall. That is the problem...is she truly listening? The other 3 on featured on the call were articulate and conveyed a team approach. Lula is the one who controlled the questions that were pitched to the directors. Hopefully she is not on the age group calls.

She is. Look at coaching slate now (2006 girls, 2005 girls). Years past, she’s HC for older girls red teams. It’s likely she’ll be take 2005 and 2006 girls teams by next season.

The problems at lmvsc start and stop with Lula. It's why people leave, players and coaches alike. Every employee that's ever left can point to an instance of her screwing them over in one way or another. Good luck to all those that stay there, players and coaches alike.

I didn't want to bring her name up, but yes. In last year's parent meeting she got a lot of heat from parents who had been in the club for years. A lot of talk about empty promises, Gaps between teams, caring only for red teams, etc. Then she got blasted here in the forums as well. She's known for being difficult and non approachable and girls says she's also a mean coach.

“Coaches will only get two years with a team, because players are like students and students need new coaches”. 2003 girls red entering third year with same coach. 2004 girls red entering third year with same coach. 2005 girls red entering third year with same coach. I’m sure 2007 boys red will have Lee next year (which would be his third year as coach).

What she claimed last year was a lie to white teams just to keep us coming back. They’re not here for us, we’re here for them. Well, used to be.

We arent happy and plan to leave also but to Lula's defense I think it has been tough to manage multiple expectations. When parents complained about the white teams they intermix them with the red teams...now the red team parents are mad. I give her a bit more credit on effort but probably low scores on execution.

More Lula nonsense tonight. 200k on scholarships? Does LMVSC have 1000 scholarship players hiding in their travel program of 400 that I'm not aware of?

I couldn’t get off work in time and I haven’t gotten anything from Coach. What else is going on?
