The worst part is that many Americans agree with the hateful racist comment Trump made, so they don't see anything wrong with it.
To the posters who defend Trump and are incensed by the liberals who remind them of Trump's documented racism and suggest that Trumpers are complicit racists as well: now do you see it? If not, then you simply must accept that you are in fact a racist, your liberal critics are correct, and you people are ruining our great nation. |

The problem with all of this is that you’ve lowered the bar for racism to something so little that everybody you disagree with on immigration is simply a racist. And when you get to label somebody a racist in modern America, you think that’s the end of the debate. You think that at that point you get to dictate policy, you get to dictate how the discussion goes, you get to disregard anything your political opponents says on any policy issue at all, because you have labeled them a racist. That’s what happens in modern America. That’s what the modern left is. So no one cares if you lefties cry racism day in and day out. And no one’s going to give you control of the agenda just because you think you’re morally superior. |

This is the perfect example of someone thinking that labeling others a racist ends the discussion and that they get to dictate terms of any policy issue from that point. If you support trumps tax reform, you’re a racist because you support Trump. If you support enforcing immigration laws, you’re a racist because you support Trump. If you support education reform under Trump, you are a racist, because you support Trump. You’re not racist? Prove it! Vote for the democrat in 2020. |

My family immigrated from one of these "shithole" countries. The poverty, corruption, and crime are all too real. The fact that the people are equally deserving of respect and dignity does not change the fact that the countries are rightly termed shitholes. . |
