JoJo the new Bachelorette 2016

I found Robbie more engaging and interesting in ATR than at any point in the show.

+1 He was so much more tolerable than the fawning, crazy-eyed mess he was during the season.

When will they announce the next Bachelor?

Does everyone really think it'll be Luke? Am I the only one who doesn't think he's articulate enough? He's just not a good speaker, and he says "like" constantly.

I think Chase is better in that area, but obviously the overall consensus is he's too boring.

Is Robbie an option? I guess a lot of people didn't like him...I have to admit, I did!

I just finished up all 3 hours from last night. They were the only episodes I watched this year (already knew the outcome and the guys seemed all fairly revolting). Here are my observations:

1. Since this was just recently mentioned, I didn't like JoJo's ATFR dress. I liked the color but not the bodice or neckline.

2. Jordan sure does exude confidence! He's a very nice looking guy and is a pretty fast talker. Knowing his recent Raya history and the tales of his exes (that's plural), I just rolled my eyes at everything he said. He exudes confidence and I think can persuade people to believe him based on his good looks.

3. Is Robby gay?

4. No need to discuss Aaron Rodgers. Come on, Chris. Be better than that. But I thought both deflected it as well as they could.

5. I thought Robby & JoJo seemed more touchy-feely after the commercial break than when he first came out. They were very tense when he first came out. However, it paled in comparison to the touching & affection in the "Proposal/Final 2" episode. I'm convinced there is major hardship going on there.

6. Oh, they said they "HAVE a house". Not "bought" and not "got."

I really don't get the whole disbelief they are together.

She is sulking because the world and the world's press are not totally loving her, but she'll just have to get over that.

I posted earlier about how they are trying too hard, and that was after the proposal. At the time I hadn't seen ATR. I agree they seem comfortably "together," but in no way ready for an engagement. It's so ridiculous that there's an engagement after just a few weeks. The short time couples with the huge declarations of love just feels false. They like each other, that's clear. But marriage? I don't think either is ready for that.

Another vote that that dress was different in a good way. Loved it though asymmetry normally messes with me.

Her upper lip was so filled that it was drooping and flopping like a windsock as she spoke and made it very hard to understand her. Reminded me of mama Elsa from Miami housewives.

And they said sister but I had assumed that girl there was one of her brothers wives because she was completely silent and nonexistent.

Yeah I'll say it… Picture Jordan's dad and JoJos mom and think about Joe Joe and Jordan's progeny.

Jojo's mom reminds me of Charo. Cuchi cuchi!

Huh. I LOVED her dress.

i liked it from the right but found the left boob to be weird. I guess I like symmetry.

I noticed that. It didn't fit her well.

I think it was an example of buying a size too small. No matter what size you are, go up a size if it's too snug. She's not chubby but she had major pit and back fat. It would be a good standing occasion dress, not a sitting occasion.

The End.

Wait! I'm not done! (I recorded and didn't watch AFR until last night)...They didn't seem all that lovey dovey to me. In fact, they seemed sad and stressed out. I don't know if that's because of tabloids and being suddenly famous or that the reality of winding up with each other was not "all that". It seems odd Jordan will totally avoid discussing his brother. I wonder if she could pull a Mesnick and switch back to Robbie? She and Jordan seem like one of those brother/sister couples, and I think that's why she didn't choose Robbie because he doesn't look like her. Also why is he not Rob or Robert? How old is he, like 5? I'm done now.

I just caught up as well, and I agree with many earlier comments.

I also didn't feel the connection between the 'happy couple' was so convincing on stage; sure they touched and kissed one another, but it was just that. It's ordinary overall. I was actually wondering if Ben/Lauren would have some announcement, but good for them if they are still going strong (though how can we really know), and engaged (when's the wedding, though).

Interesting point about Robbie being more tolerable on the ATFR; I would tend to agree. He's a careful speaker, articulates himself well, and comes across as poised. I have a feeling he was too intense/serious for JoJo - she just wants the good-looking athlete guy, and hopes all else falls into place.

My dh has a hilarious shtick he does about jojo when she realizes Jordan is a never-was who's only redeeming quality- that he has an MLB brother- got a little less sparkly when she realized late into it that he wasn't in fact speaking with his brother.... "Oh no.... All my dreams of being bff's with Olivia Munn and hanging out with celebrities won't be coming true....." He actually freeze framed in slo mo the moment you could see her realize the jig was up....

The first time I liked Jordan: the proposal and ATR. Before that, I audibly cringed and groaned at everything he said. I think once she said "I love you" to him I thought OK, I can see it now.

Hoping there's no heartbreak in their future.

My DH was in the room while I was watching and commented on the not asking dad for her hand (in a timely manner, because you know he eventually did it). He was like, how is she letting him get away with that? I realized then that she basically had already picked him. Or else she wouldn't care. She thought it was a huge deal because Robbie (her not choice) did it, and Jordan didn't. She was like *face palm* "im picking you idiot."
