IAC Lacrosse

If that is true then lacrosse is a joke and will never be a real sport. I've raised sons and they did multiple sports all the way through high school, and one played college at an ACC school.

Anyone who puts forth that 7th or 8th grade is a fair indicator of future achievement in any sport is a fool. I see how lacrosse works to boost that mentality, but it is still wrong. Te college coaches who bite on recruiting boys that young are fools too and hopefully won't be club or high school coaches after they are fired from colleges.

IAC Angle on one of the big NCAA matchups of the week: Number 1 ranked Yale vs. Number 5 ranked Brown. (Despite the rankings, Brown seems to be favored based on its torrid offensive pace and score comparisons.) One of the Brown stars is their captain Kylor Bellistri from Bullis School, who is averaging over 3 goals a game. (Brown also has a Georgetown Prep alum, Scott Lanham, who gets time.) On the Yale side, junior starting defenseman Camyar Matini from St. Albans is part of one of the top defenses in the nation.

This is poster who asked about the smaller, younger player. Thanks for all the feedback. I picked up a stick for the first time was I was 13 and wound up playing D1 as a walk-on. With that being said, I am naturally very competitive. Believe me, I don't want this to effect him having fun, it's just hard to watch. Nonetheless, thanks again for the feedback.

Yeah, I saw their lacrosse team play the other day. Talk about an ugly incident.

A captain at Princeton and a current player at Cornell were both sophomores on the JV at Landon. The book has barely been opened on a lacrosse player when he is in MS unless you are a pfool. Skill, athleticism, and don't forget drive and competitiveness are yet to be written in stone at that age. Not to mention a kid that loves the game will work to continue to improve. There are plenty of MS studs who don't pan out in HS let alone college, and there are plenty of MS players that aren't great but they develop into Great players. What youth coaching I have seen down here is the worst youth sports coaching I have ever even heard of. 3rd graders playing 10 on 10 full field lacrosse. 26 kids on two teams share a ball for an hour.

Will the loss of the Bullis player from that video hurt Bullis's chances to win the IAC? He was one of their studs, right?

They're close to an agreement to be merged into 3d.

If true, no shock that Trig is selling out. 3d Mid Atlantic hasn't worked and they are desperate to have a legit HS program. If Trig isn't involved, it will likely die just like Fuze died when 3d bought it.

Will Trig run it. Will they merge the current high school teams, have tryouts, and A and B teams?

If they do, it won't be Blackwolf any more. Just another money play to bring in more fees to 3d. Almost every purchase they've made has been a disaster on the field.

How do you know this is true

I don't think this will ever happen
