Are you this bigoted against Muslims and Jews too? Does a hijab make you unhappy?

Hijab is not equal to cross.

True. Hijab represents slavery of the woman. I’ve seen them with chains on their faces.

And what's a cross? An execution device that Christians like to use as a symbol of their devotion by forcing people to live how they think is holy. Because Jesus forced people to live how he wanted them to, right?

Take your anti Christian bigotry elsewhere. This was a disgusting accusation.

False. The hijab represents adherence to the laws of Allah. If a chain is on a woman's face it is battoulah which is worn in the UAE, Bahrian, Oman, Qatar, and areas around the Persian Gulf.
Most women who are currently enslaved are those who are victims of trafficking for sex and labor.

The administration on Saturday urged the USAID staff to join the effort to transform how Washington allocates aid around the world in line with Trump's "America First" policy. It also threatened "disciplinary action" for any staff ignoring the administration's orders.
An internal memo sent to USAID employees on Monday evening said the new leadership identified several actions in the agency that "appeared to be designed to circumvent the President's Executive Orders and the mandate from the American people."
"As a result, we have placed a number of USAID employees on administrative leave with full pay and benefits until further notice while we complete our analysis of these actions," Acting Administrator Jason Gray said in the memo, reviewed by Reuters.

USAID believed it was accountable to no one.

If USAID is so terrible, why didn’t Trump do something about it his first term? You know, the first time he made America great again.

These grants have nothing to do with the things people are complaining about.

How do you figure??

DP...
Elon and the Trump White House are completely full of crap. They have provided ZERO evidence that the funds are actually for the things he claims they are.

Would also say, it is some serious cherry picking. Funds for disaster relief, farming, healthcare? Those would be the big bucks. If he is truly for transparency, do not cherry pick.

Ridiculous. Suggesting that funding a trans opera in Columbia is an acceptable use of taxpayer dollars and it’s just “cherry picking” to point it out is insulting to the voters.

It is absolutely cherry picking. He decried the entire agency as fraud and his example is worth a couple tens of thousands of dollars.

DP to add I am insulted as a voter that he is cherry picking rather than actually being transparent. That and his illegal override of congress and more.

Bull. The funding he pointed out is real and it adds up. What you call cherry picking, working Americans call waste. Defend that waste if you want, but allegations of cherry picking are absurd.

He was too naive in the first term, and later realized the existence of deep state government, plus he couldn't do anything during that time without both house and senate support.

What kind of money are we talking, OP?

Which countries no longer have starving children as a result of all this funneled cash?

Wow. I often wonder how people could have voted for Trump. Then I read a response like this and see there really are awful, cold hearted people out there!

+1

And it also takes away our soft influence and opens the door for china and other rivals to fill the vacuum.

Interesting that none of his recent actions—or rather, Elon’s actions—related to govt reform are in Trump’s 2025 platform. So who’s driving the bus here—Trump or Musk?

USAID could do more, certainly. But yes, they have helped other countries and the US.

Do you think China would send in a transgender chorus to fill the vacuum?

He has a mandate now with control of congress.

Then Congress can amend the law that created USAID and zero out USAID in its next budget.
