Why does everyone think Kamala was such a bad candidate?

I don’t even think her answer on The View that she couldn’t really think of anything she would do differently from Biden was particularly damning. She is his Vice-President, what the heck could she really have said?

And this is coming from someone who voted for Trump, but I would have done so no matter who was on the Democratic ticket.

How do you know that, if Biden had been the candidate and lost, the waiter wouldn’t have punched a cut out of him? You are projecting.

Biden actually deserves to be punched for handing the 2024 election to Trump but I'm not going to encourage punching elderly people.

I encourage you to go back to May 2024 posts and see what the left was saying about Biden back then. He was literally the only man for the job, back then. The poor guy was being drug around like a reanimated corpse and if you dared to point out his slurred words or unsteady gait, you were a stupid racist Nazi. And now you want to punch him, for what? The entire base demanded that he stay in all the way up to the point when he ate it on stage at the debate. And even in the days afterward, the left was saying it was fine, everything was fine, just an off day.

In May 2024 the left was saying that it was unfair to talk about Biden’s mental decline without talking about Trump’s. It is a campaign where no honest assessment of the weaknesses of Biden or Harris could ever be made, but whatabouttrump Democrats would yell.

May? Even in JULY, after the debate, posters here were insisting "He did just fine." I must have read the word "fine" 1000 times. Then as soon as the coup took place the posters here were immediately calling Kamala "a breath of fresh air." I want to know who sends out these catchphrases.

Most of us have known that Biden is as bat poop crazy and almost as crooked as Trump is for many years now.

Well, for one, she was very stupid to believe that just because she refused to talk about her crazy positions without repudiating them, people were supposed to just forget she'd ever taken those positions. Moronic manipulation.

But here we are and Trump is going to be President. We Americans are on the whole, incredibly stupid people.
The election was 6 weeks ago, so it’s really time to get over it and consider the future. Calling the American people “stupid” does nothing to advance the ball. Try to get it out of your system, and think about viable candidates for 2028.

Pretty sure it's fair to say the average American voter IQ is much less than it was 20 or 30 years ago considering we've elected Trump, Biden, Trump in the past three elections. Nothing wrong with acknowledging this stupidity and trying to deal with it in advance of 2028 so that another Trump or Biden isn't elected.

Pretty sure you have no data to support your sweeping statement.

Please stop beating that old horse. She list because she never should have been running. If the DNC had dumped Biden faster there could have been a primary and Harris, again, would be one of the first out. Maybe a competent woman or a black man would have a chance to run and defeated Trump.

Are the elections of Trump, Biden, and then Trump not enough to convince you Americans have lost their minds? If not, you are probably one of those Americans that has lost their mind.

Plus, he's not a real felon, it was a politically motivated fake charge, so left wing dimwits could call him "a felon" rather than discussing actual issues. the charges were so fake that very few people could even explain what he supposedly did wrong.
anybody care to try?

Maybe he isn't a true felon but he is a coward that lacks the integrity to fulfill a president's primary duty- protect the people and sovereignty of this nation. It's too bad the Dem Party is so dysfunctional they lost to this jerk two of three elections. I'm not sure what's more pathetic; the party that nominated Trump 3 consecutive times or the party that lost to him in two of the three most recent elections.

She isn't driven by ego or by a passion for policy. She's an opportunist who had a nice career but finally hit her wall. I think she knows that. She has a comfortable life to fall back on. And that's what she'll likely do.

What do former VPs normally do? They don’t normally stay in elective politics. Dick Cheney. Al Gore. Dan Quayle. Walter Mondale.

They get on corporate boards, do public appearances and make some money.

I think Harris will get some no show job at the University of California that pays a lot.

Mondale had the same misfortune as Harris. He was VP of a very unpopular POTUS and lost his bid for The White House in much more of a landslide defeat than Harris because he was running against a legitimate POTUS candidate in Reagan while Harris was running against a terrible opponent in Trump. Biden deserves 99.9% of the blame for Trump's 2024 victory.

Biden deserves about 25% of the credit for Trump's 2024 victory.

FTFY.

99%. If Biden would have gotten the heck out of the way much sooner, we could have nominated a candidate with the stamp of approval from the American people and any normal candidate nominated in the proper manner would obviously destroy Trump.

Everyone is mad at Biden now, but don't forget how committed yall were to the narrative that he was totally lucid and competent. Any mention that Biden was not up to the task was met with attacks that the person saying it was "spouting right wing talking points." You wanted him bad, and you got him bad, and now you're going to blame him.

This is true. When Robert Hur called him an “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory”, which in retrospect seems like a very flattering and gracious way of describing Biden, he was met with met with incredible invective. Kamala Harris attacked Hur as wrong on the facts, politically motivated and lacking in integrity.

This. It was so aggravating to have people tell everyone to disbelieve their lying eyes.

And what did the moronic American voters do? They voted to replace one elderly unfit POTUS with another. Idiots. Just way too many idiots in the country.

All true but Biden himself deserves as much blame as the DNC does for giving Trump the 2024 election. This is why I told everyone back in 2020 not to nominate someone that would be 78 when inaugurated for a first term due to the likely negative ramifications that would come from having an 81 year old incumbent running in 2024. Go back to the threads from 2020 to see for yourself.

Unfortunately, very few of you hard heads listened and here we are about to embark on Trump term 2 thanks to your Biden debacle.

It was so crazy. Biden even had a press conference to defend himself where he made a number of misstatements of basic facts, including calling El-Sisi of Egypt the President of Mexico. That was the point where he needed to have stepped down, but instead the Democrats decided a better plan was to gaslight people and bully the media. Everything went downhill from there. And an important part of this story. An important reason why Harris cannot use her shortened campaign period as an excuse, is because she was the best placed intervene and instead was the chief attack dog.

If someone in mainstream media had stepped up after that press conference to call Biden to an interview like George Stas finally did after the debate, Biden would have gotten out of the way in time for a legitimate Dem primary and Trump would have been crushed.

There are many directions you can point the fingers of blame for Trump's 2024 victory. You can play the idiot Trump voters, you can blame the careless Biden 2020 voters, you can blame Biden himself, you can blame the media.... but you can't really blame Harris. She is was put into awful position not to her making and did the best she could.

NP..check out Gallup. 54% of Americans ages 16-72 have under a sixth grade literacy rate. We've become the stupidest country of the free world.
