Will Nicole Kidman continue searching for Gus in Season 2? That might be interesting.

I really thought Mercy set up those final lunch tea mtgs with Margaret and then Hillary in order to try to be a surrogate and have one of them adopt the baby.

Imagine choosing to be even more connected to Mercy for life? No thank you! You know she’d do something crazy like come back and try to get custody of the baby several years later. Wasn’t there another limited series about that - little fires everywhere.

I doubt there needs to be a Series 2; this was powerful and entertaining enough.

I really hated the "lunch meetings" device with the women talking to each other. It didn't make sense to me logistically. I also found their line deliveries really unconvincing, I think because these were basically monologues and were a bit too literary to feel authentic (not sure if they were lifted from the book or what). It just felt like dumb device.

I had assumed it was a mature way for closure before leaving the country.

Anyhow, I’ve lived in urban Asian cities and dine biz trips in HK so loved seeing all the gritty HK scenes, hilltop park, market, dives, and typical urban Asian apartment living and working. Very authentic.

I don’t have a problem with how they protested the economic migrants “staff” you find so very prevalent in India and HK.

I do find it ridiculous that State Depart FSOs can sponsor a helper to come to the U.S. with them and their 2-4 kids and get paid $6-9/hr plus room and board. But that’s prob more stable than $20/hr and living far away with strangers stuffed in an old garden style apartment

I thought it was a limited series. If they do a season 2, they'd need to change things up a bit, perhaps Nicole chasing the kidnappers through Hong Kong's underground.

I thought it was kind of an interesting way of showing all of these women saying what they needed to say - yet you're not sure exactly who they're addressing. For instance, much of what they were saying could have applied to any of the three women.
