If the D and R parties truly feel threatened by this 3rd party movement, there is an easy fix. Hogan describes the scenario for which No Labels may actually field a candidate in very plain language. If, come next spring, America's nightmare scenario of Trump and Biden being the nominees comes to fruition, it's a real possibility No labels will field a candidate simply due to demand from the American public for something better. If the Ds and Rs don't want to face competition from a 3rd party, and of course they don't, they just need to nominate something more appetizing than the lunatic orange old man and the elderly man.

So no labels can stamp their feet and have their silly tantrum and help get trump elected to protest that trump was one the nominees? That makes no sense. They help trump so they are pro trump.

If the Rs and Ds do no better than Trump vs Biden 2 in 2024, No Labels will seriously consider fielding a candidate. If the R or D parties nominate a normal candidate with a respectable favorbility rating amongst voters, they are unlikely to have a need to run. Not exactly rocket science here. If the Ds nominate a Bill Clinton or the Rs nominate a Mitt Romney, we won't have a No Labels candidate. It doesn't have to be both parties nominating someone different.

What about no labels helping get trump elected do you not understand? Rationalize helping give trump a second term how ever you want, it still results in the election of trump again.

What difference does it make? The third part candidate does not win. They serve to assist one of the other candidates.

Again, they only plan to run if Trump AND Biden are the nominees. If Trump and Biden become the nominees with no viable 3rd party candidate, we'd be looking at the weakest presidential field in the history of our country and what makes you so sure the 3rd party has zero chance of winning in this unprecedented circumstance? No one with an IQ over 80 is voting for Trump in 2024 period. That gives pretty good odds to any viable candidate running against him. We just need someone with less obvious weaknesses running against him and we should be less concerned of where that candidate comes from. You can't rely on the recent failures of 3rd parties as predictors of what will happen in 2024 because our current political situation is far, far different from anything experienced our lifetimes.

And tell me, while you're so up on No Labels - what are their actual positions? Can you name three things they stand for, other than being not Trump or not Biden? I bet not! They're a cipher, there to project whatever you want onto them - and take your money.

For all of our sake, let's hope we don't see a Trump vs. Biden rematch in 2024 so we don't have to worry about any potential negative impact from these No Label folks. If we do have a Trump vs Biden rematch, the numbers show that most American voters would appreciate another option to consider. It is what it is. If you're an R or D party staffer or campaign worker whining about this 3rd party threat, get over it and become open to applying for work elsewhere.

If no labels was so upset with a Biden candidacy, they would not have positions that mirror Biden positions. You need to get over thinking this "another option" bullcrap is fooling anyone.

Yes, the reasonable and rational thing to do is shouting down any thought of considering a 3rd option if stuck with Biden vs Trump in 2024.

The rational thing to do is do your homework and understand exactly what using your vote for the different options will do for your family. And if you choose a third party, you understand that that candidate does not win. Your vote for a third party serves to elect either the republican or the democrat.

In any case, it is only of any consequence in a few swing states that always decide the presidential election. Last time around, they chose wisely and I have confidence they will do their homework this time around and choose wisely again.
