Will the court take his Mercedes amg gt? |
The trustees were trying to claim it for the bankruptcy but Mercedes dealership also had a claim so its being worked on. That and I suspect Amr is ducking to keep it for the GRIP events. One thing that did pop up was if he had other cars popping up at the GRIP supercar events did he pay them with Optimum money and were they knowledgeable of the fraud because if they were would they also be legally liable? Cuz that can be another source of funds to get back. |
Is he money/largesse Amr is receiving from his family considered taxable income? |
Heads up but tomorrow's trial has been postponed again so now it'll be joining the July trials for Howard County. |
Is Amr going to squirm out of this?…what’s with the constant postponements?
Who asked for this postponement? |
You know who I think got a sweet deal out of all of this? Omar’s criminal defense attorney. I feel like they win no matter what happens? First, he is going to get paid well for defending Omar in the fifteen criminal cases (although the source of the money they are being paid with is subject to concern). They are defense attorneys thus people understand it is their job to associate with bad actors. Whereas people may not have positive feelings for any of the other four law firms that assisted and guided Omar navigating complaints, civil suits and bankruptcy(attempt). The defense attorney is not subject to any potential scrutiny during the bankruptcy (FYI - no law firms listed as creditors – you can figure out what that means). If the defense attorney gets any type of deal it will be viewed as them doing their job. If Omar goes to prison for many years they just point at all of the things stacked against them from the multiple cases, trustee digging, DOJ digging, MD AG actions and adds that they had an uncooperative client (as demonstrated throughout the bankruptcy). Seems like the defense attorney wins no matter what happens? Am I wrong? |
i'm new to the forum and i'm a "creditor" (omar owes me money). i've received some letters in the mail but not sure i'm understanding them correctly. do i need to file something so omar doesn't get these payments discharged? i'm listed as a creditor and i want to make sure i do what i need to do so he doesn't just get out of this. |
You have until September 28th to file an objection to the discharge of what he owes you. However, I would suggest waiting a little while as the trustee, US Trustee, and Maryland AG are aggressively investigating him. It is very likely his bankruptcy will be denied and potential new charges filed against him as a result. If fraud is found it will likely be referred to the US AG for additional federal charges. I am assuming you are a sub contractor? Interesting as it appears Omar had three categories for his subs. some were paid, some were told of the bankruptcy with a promise to pay in 90 days when he expected the bankruptcy to be complete, and some were not paid at all. You could start with contacting MHIC for guidance, a county level consumer protection group, or the state consumer protection in the attorney general's office. They all would probably be interested in speaking with you and should be able to give you some information on your options. None of this should be considered a substitute to legal advice from a lawyer. |
Looks like he has to turn in his vehicles…. |
Which vehicles? |
The docket said motion to turn 7 vehicles over |
But no list of which ones? |
Where are you getting this ‘docket’ info? |
I’m not sure where the above person got the information but there is a way to pull the bankruptcy case. I believe someone posted the link before for his case. |
If you have a PACER account you can look at the information. And yeah Amr is supposed to hand over his vehicles as well as his father's, mom's, and looks like his wife's not to mention the 2 sports cars he has that he's been promoting on GRIP supercar events but being the good faith actor he is he's probably going to ignore the orders and keep hiding everything.... |
