Prepare frozen veggies?

Anyone who can pls provide tips on how to prepare frozen veggies ...including type and brands? That kids will likely eat? Clueless in this area, I've only used frozen chopped spinach in quiche. I need some easy stand-alone veggie as sides ideas! Thanks!

I put frozen kale or chopped broccoli in scrambled eggs, pasta sauce, curries. My kid loves plain frozen peas or green beans. Frozen veggies are great sauteed quickly in a pan with a little olive oil and maybe garlic or lemon. You can also add them to veggie curries or soups or cooked salads. I routinely stretch whatever fresh produce I have with a little frozen, mainly because it's easy to keep them in the house and they don't need any prep time.

DD prefers broccoli. But get the "florets" - otherwise, it's almost all stem, and DD only eats the tips.

I microwave, chop really small, and sprinkle parmesean cheese on it. She loves it. Or you can melt a little shredded cheddar on it.

DD also eats frozen peas (just microwave for 1 minute, maybe rinse to cool off). So much better than nasty canned ones.

I like the Whole Foods Frozen Organic - broccoli florets, chopped spinach, snap peas, green peas, edamame, green beans, southwestern mix (red, green, & yellow peppers and onions), mediterranean mix. Aside from the southwestern mix, I usually just prepared them steams with a little salt and pepper. The southwestern mix - I dice some yukon gold potatoes then steam or boil them until fork tender, then sautee the veggies together with potatoes. Makes a nice potato hash.

Steam them. Add olive oil, salt and pepper. Also lemon juice for broccoli. Cook or defrost rice and use a mix, like Biriyani paste or sauce for veggies and protein over rice.

DC still likes frozen peas and corn as a side.

Edamame is a great finger food for little ones too. My toddler daughter really likes them. We buy them shelled/frozen at TJs. Microwave briefly, cool, serve as is.
