Please post your PTA dues for your school

1. School
2. PTA Dues (just one fee? is a different donation accepted? is there a scale?)
3. Whether school directory only comes with PTA membership

4. Are you happy with this arrangement? What would you change if you could?

Thank you, I'm working on best PTA practices.

Keep in mind the PTO is different from PTA.

Thanks so much for supporting your child's school. Hope he/she enjoyed that field trip, or new piece of classroom equipment, etc. that others helped the school get.
If you at one of these schools with huge dues, or you volunteer time instead of paying dues, or chip in to one of the fundraisers, I'll give you a pass, but otherwise, what gives, PP?

$5. We have a high FARMS rate and the school. Dues really just gave PTA a small amount of money, after sending in state and national dues. We were more interested in getting people involved. We had other fundraisers to bring in $, and folks could contribute as much or little as their finances allowed. We wanted to have as few barriers to PTA membership as possible.

There's no new classroom equipment. This is the third year in a row my DD has been in a freaking trailer instead of being in a classroom inside the school. There are no dues - it's public school. And I work full time - so it's a miracle if DD isn't the very last kid being picked up at aftercare - there's no time for volunteering. Not that there's tons of extra space in her trailer for more people. When DD did a jumprope for some heart association I gave her a penny for each jump she did.

$10 in our old elementary and $30 in our new one. Both in Montgomery County. My children get a great education in my opinion and lots of opportunities with the various after school options. I am only too happy to cough up some money for the PTA.
