FFX SOL for 5th Grades

Does any one received SOL scrore yet for 5th grade (AAP). We have just received it today for DC and the scores are really bad fro Science/Reading/Writing are in 500 range and Mathematics got 600. In 3rd and 4th grade our DC got 100%.

Is this because of new VA SOL testing methodology or something we need to worry about ? Please share your scores.

I wouldn't worry. Those scores are all pass/advanced.

My kids' scores sound similar. All 600s in fourth grade, and a mix of 500s and only one 600 (not math) this year for fifth.

It's fine. Go worry about something else.

Exactly. Anything in the 500s is pass advanced. I feel bad for your kids and their teachers having to put up with your nonsense.

Yes your snowflake is still special.
We can all tell that this is humble brag since you had to add the AAP comment.

We all know that 600 is 100% on the SOLs

But since we are doing the brag thing. My 5th grade NON-AAP center kid got upper 500s on the 6th grade Math SOL and 600 on the science SOL. Non AAP center kids can be smart to!!

And do you read the newspapers or letters that the schools send home? They clearly stated the scores are changing.

Please find a real problem.

OP, I think your child and you should be worried.. I have many friends children in 5th grade, who got 600's in all the three and only one got same as your DC.

May be you and your child and your teachers need to put more effort in 6th grade..

May be it is the schools fault too. May be consider changing the school....

Did all 5th graders take 6th grade math sol? Or just AAP?

I think any 5th grader in advanced math (6th grade level) took the 6th grade math SOL, regardless of if they are AAP or not.

Each score was at least 400.

No, you didn't "just simply ask a question." You posted a straight up bona fide humble brag and got called out. Deal with it. No one wants to be around that parent that posts about pass advanced scores being "really bad."

Specifically, you said the scores were "really bad" even though they were advanced scores! I guess those of us with kids who "just" passed must be in big trouble.

Those are very bad scores. If my DC had that kind of scores, DC will be so shamed to ever show up at the school again. Best to sign up for remedy classes quickly.
