Hi. I need a reality check, please. We're here, right?
I make $88K, which I believe to be adequate. |
| I make 70,000 and could certainly do with more. |
| I make $70k. Single mom with one kid. |
|
For OP and PP, are you quoting a household 5-figure income or simply your own? Just curious since last PP stated single mom.
I make 74K, but combining husband's income puts us into 6 figures. |
| I make 70k, too. Admin stuff. TTC now and will probably stay home once #2 arrives since nanny costs are out of control in this area!! |
| yes glad to see this! 86K |
| 55K here, 3 years in the workforce. |
| I make 90k, husband makes 70k + 10k bonus. |
| 89K here and not starving |
|
Shit, what's six figured? $79k. Have a masters degree, been working nonstop since I was 16. Took a fed job thinking it would go up and then freezes and furloughs started.
But, I started at 32k when I was 24 and am 32 now so I consider that a decent increase. But my hardwork and education haven't paid off like I had tried to get them to! |
|
$48k salary plus another $30k from a second job a couple of evenings a week.
Not exactly rolling in dough here, but doing alright. |
| I make 50k, husband makes 93k.We are living comfortably in a great DC neighborhood, 1 kid,the other on the way.I'll work nights while he works day time.No nanny needed. |
Well done, you! That is not sarcastic. Sounds like you two are doing it right and making it work.
|
|
I make $62 and wife makes $75k.
We still live in our 'starter house' and with these new salaries (recent raises for both of us) we are really starting to finally save. Don't think we'll ever get out of the starter house unless we leave DC, but that's ok. |
| I made about 55K as a teacher with masters after 10 years, but now SAHM of two. DH makes about 50K with slight commissions. Live in a townhouse in MOCO...comfortable, but definitely pretty much living paycheck to paycheck. Worth it for me to SAH while kids are little though. |
