Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks!

It will be easier to make recommendations if you tell us what the issues are and age.

For kindergarten...high functioning...language based needs...pragmatic language...attention...some anxiety

Try St Patricks. You may want to consider Maddox.

Also for inclusive what are thinking in terms of accommodations?

You might want to include areas that you would drive to. Ashburn is pretty far from Alexandria to Gaithersburg and Burtonsville.

This poster. River school was also recommended for our very verbal ASD/AS kid who basically needs a small class size and nurturing environment.

Unless things have changed in the last few years, the River School will not take kids with ASDs. They have a significant number of kids with hearing impairment and thats the only SN they support.

Try Commonwealth Academy in No. Alexandria. They may not take ADS but call Josh Gwillems there and ask.

Sorry. DS has mild hearing impairment in one ear that does not affect his function/speech in any way. Was told by River that there was no problem with taking him even though he has ASD but maybe that's b/c he does have hearing loss. All DS's issues are from AS.

Hi OP,

This would help folks on here help you with more targeted suggestions.

We've had friends with kids who with AS who've had a positive experience at Primary Day, Auburn, Oneness, Newton School. You could also look at Ivymount.

OP here. Thanks so much for the responses. We are currently at Maddux, but are looking for a mainstream private school for kindergarten.
