Does anyone shower or take a bath just using water and no soap or bath gel along with a wash cloth or luffa? Is soap always necessary to get clean if you aren't really dirty?

I rinse of my body often but will use mild soap or a washcloth in my privates, pits, feet, hands, behind ears. I don't wash my face with soap/cleanser. I use caudalie cleansing water or I will clean via the oil method.

I never use soap, and I get perfectly clean.

I only use soap on privates, anal area, feet and pits, unless I had a workout and had gotten sweaty.

I am like 23:58 and that includes not washing my face. Whenever I go for a facial I am asked what products I used because my skin looks so good and I lie because I know that I will get a sales pitch if my answer is water!

Another no soaper here. My skin is too dry and reactive for most soaps. Use soap after sunscreen, insect repellent and when really sweaty or dirty. Then I use a very mild soap and my skin takes a day before it settles back down. A good rub with a washcloth or luffa then a vigorous toweling and I am clean!

Not much, just after using sunscreen or insect repellent usually. A hard rub with the washcloth followed by a vigorous toweling off and I'm clean.

Okay, to each his own. I really am not judging. I am just curious if you guys that don't use soap are saying you aren't using it in/around your "privates" and pits? Really just curious. I have never done that. I didn't realize I could! I have skipped it all over body though.

what? generally people will use a gentle cleanser at night to remove make-up, and just use water in the a.m.

what does location have to do with it?

PP here who doesn't wear make up and lives in the city. The dirt is really dead skin which you easily rub off and no soap is needed.

Oh, and my private parts really suffer when I use soap and yes, I've tried all kinds and no, I don't stink.

I am one of the PPs. I wear makeup and work in the city. I wash off my face with water. Re privates I use summer's eve; I had problems before I used a ph balanced cleanser. I use deodorant soap under my arms.
