If you enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction books, are politically right-of-center, and can meet one Sunday evening a month in upper Montgomery county, I'd love to have you join a book club I am starting. Our books won't necessarily be political in nature, but in our discussions we want to be able to speak from a right-of-center perspective without being ostracized. Please respond by leaving contact information. Thanks!!

Where is upper Montgomery county, i.e. what's considered 'upper'?
|
| Probably somewhere north of Rockville, e.g., Aspen Hill, Germantown etc. I want it to be convenient for participants, and there are a few people interested that live in the northern part of Montgomery County, close to these towns. - OP |
| Gotcha. I'm interested but out in FFX Cty, VA |
| so does this club sit around reading atlas shrugged and jerking off while brainstorming how to ' go galt'? |
| I'm a fan of OP! |
And I am not. |
| Right wingers read? |
| Is this the person who wanted to start a book club in aspen hill but you had to be an executive or something!? |
You had to be a professional woman in that one I think.
I wouldn't mind being in any book club but as soon as you start getting comfortable with the others someone starts bringing wine. Next thing you know it's wino night. |
|
Can't think of anyplace I'd rather be than discussing Glenn Beck's latest opus in Aspen Hill, MD.
HAHAHAHAHA! |
Glen Beck's autobiography. |
OK, first of all, what the hell does that even mean? And second of all, isn't the point of a book club to have an open discussion that might expose you to points of view you hadn't considered? If you're only interested in conversing with people who agree with you, why not just discuss the book with yourself in a mirror? |
| Wait, is this a book burning club? |
| Only if you guys invite Politics and Prose Barista poster, who obviously has the correct attitude towards the "help" for your book club. I'd pay to attend that book club. |
