Trump’s Dementia

Rick Wilson:
“So here we are. A 79-year-old man, swollen of extremity and bruised of hand, looking like the victim of a zombie bite by denying it until he turns, shuffling between Walter Reed and a half-built ballroom nobody asked for, with an approval rating in free fall, a base finally asking quiet questions about grocery prices, a press corps too cowed to say out loud what they all know, and a clock, biological, cultural, and political, that he cannot bully into stopping.

He is not coming back from this. There is no third act. There is only the long, undignified, makeup-smeared decline of a man and a movement whose moment has passed, narrating itself ever more loudly into an ever emptier hall, a frowzy barfly of a man, replaying past glories that never happened and hoping you won’t notice the bad wig.
Trump is dying.”

Just like Edward Longshanks.

It’s just a check up. I too am do for my annual checkup …checks notes… next year.

He's had three Walter Reed visits in a year, PP.

And three “routine dental exams” since January.

My own father has early dementia and can only receive one assessment per year, unless there is a major event that warrants a new assessment. I was told that reassessment every 3 months means a diagnosis has been made, and prognosis is poor. The repeated assessments are to track decline.

He likely has congestive heart failure (in addition to dementia), which is why he’s getting seen quarterly. His symptoms are just like my father’s.

What’s the lifespan with congestive heart failure? Asking for a friend.

My father in law, who continued to chain smoke and eat terribly, lived for 20 years after diagnosis.

We have no idea if and when Trump got a CHF diagnosis. He could be 18 years into it.

CHF is extremely painful so take comfort in that fact.

But it doesn't really matter, does it? The damage is done and he's taking the country down with him.

I can think of multiple explanations for him posting the came exact thing 8 days apart. None of them are good.

Those are the sort of numbers that embolden the media to discuss his health more, as we're already starting to see.

Slow clap for the American voting idiots who replaced an unfit president with a deranged and unfit president. I'm not making this up. Voters in the most powerful country in the world actually did this. The current crop of American voters will be made fun of until the end of time.

I mean, I’m not saying it, but a lot of people are saying it. A lot of very important people. In fact, one person on the Internet looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, Yep, he pooped his pants.

That's why he's been wearing diapers for years.

Imagine meeting other world leaders wearing a soiled diaper. The US has dropped so low.

So much stupid in the US.

Just now he mentioned the "Reflecting Lake between the Lincoln Monument..." then trailed off before naming what's at the other end. When I first visited DC as a 10-year-old I knew the proper names of these landmarks.

I have a tendency to confuse names of people or things at times. The difference between when I do it and when Trump does it is that I don’t have dementia but he does. I immediately realize my mistake and say “I meant to say Bob, not Harry” and then continue talking. Trump confuses Venezuela for Iran, but doesn’t catch his error and keeps talking without correcting himself.

A professor at Washington State University's Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, has suggested that multiple signs point to Trump having suffered a stroke at some point during his second term.
