| Actually, calling out others for being "trailer trash" is a far more worrisome quality. |
| Ghetto and trailor park screaming white trash |
| I don't get why a parent would want to cause their child pain at such a tender age. It might not hurt for long but the baby certainly never asked for it. |
Not knowing how to spell is even trashier. |
Did they ask for foreskin mutilation? It's cultural and there's no harm. Come on. |
+1000 great analogy. If given a choice you bet I would choose the quick pinch of ear piercing. |
But why hurt a child when it's not necessary? |
| Nah, too many cultures do it. Can't limit it to "trailer park trash." Not sure why you feel so threatened by it. |
+1 |
If you have a son, did you also not circumcise the child to to causing pain? It's a culture thing, get over it. My mother pierced my ears at weeks of age as well. I never regretted having pierced ears. |
| I've never ever heard in my life about people who referred to babies or girls with earrings are trashy until I discovered this site. I honestly don't get it and don't get why others are so opinionated about it. |
| At some point almost every women will have their ears pierced. Who cares if it was done at a tender age. What other people do or don't do with their kids ears is no one else's business |
| In Western Europe where I come from, most do not do this (and people like my mother think it is trashy). But in many other parts of the world, it is culturally important. So since it is not on par with female genital mutilation, and only causes momentary pain rather like a blood draw (which my children had to have very young), I have no objection to it. |
| Good grief. Please get a life. Stop worrying about others and tend you your own. |
