Has anyone tried the food at more than one college? |
Gmu has beautiful new dorms and the food is great. UVA is in the process of getting new dorms as the old ones are pretty gnarly. The food there is pretty good as well, but my dd wouldn't call it great. |
Who hasn't tried food at more than one college? I've heard VT has awesome food. Ill report back after DS visits in September. |

Best food = Cornell |
I'll happy sign DC up for a crappy dorm if they'll knock several thousand off the bill. |

+1. Ridiculous to build luxury dorms and provide gourmet dining for a bunch of spoiled college kids. Hopefully the sky high tuition will be a hint to get their asses out of there ASAP with as little debt as possible instead of taking five plus years to graduate. |
Those years i spent in a tiny cinder-block room with no AC and no phone, eating crap food in the Caf? Happiest of my life.
The upscale dorm & fine collegiate dining? Fucking ridiculous. |
JMU food is way above average. Dorms are typical, however. |
Yes, many. We liked Kenyon's food. They also have a big emphasis on locally sourced food. |
Sure, you can eat lunch in the dorms when you tour. Best caprese salad I've ever had: Bowdoin College. I begged DS to apply; it was too remote for him. |
I was surprised to hear my nephew say that UMass had the best dining hall of all the schools his friends went to. |
2nd. Good food there. |
