I feel great!

I cannot say this in person because it sounds so self congratulatory so I am here on an anon forum. I just want to say that I feel great! I am post menopausal and had gained weight. I felt like my metabolism had slowed down and I would never be back down to a normal weight. Well, I joined a gym in March and have been very diligent about going. After about a month of working out I started to feel motivated enough that I tried to also eat more healthy. As a result, I have lost about 12 lbs now, but it feels like more (maybe because I lift weights) as I am fitting in clothes that I have not been able to wear in years! I am very happy and feel more relaxed than ever.

Good for you! I am still telling myself that I will start "my diet and working out" tomorrow!

Op here. Thank you all for your kind words. I really feel good about myself. I was almost at a size 14 and now I'm back down to a size 10. I have no plans to get any thinner as I feel good at this size. I also have more energy trying to keep up with my young children. Again, thank you all!

And you really can start tomorrow. It is another day and you'll feel great once you go over that hurdle.

Congrats! I've gotten into a serious work out schedule, too, and I feel better at 58 than I did in my 40s. Folks, it's hard to get in the habit of working out, I know, but it really is worth it. You will feel better about yourself if you stick with it. Thanks for posting, OP.
