ECNL forcing Brave & Union Partnership

Agree with some above. Focus on your kid, and make the best of of this merger. These year won’t come back, let your boy or girl enjoy the beautiful game, build memories together and support them, no matter what. Be proud of them, and love them.

Well said. And just because some nimrod coach doesn’t like the way your kid plays, don’t sweat it. Mine has bounced from one club to the next - sometimes not being wanted back - and it just provides fuel for the fire and each year keeps ending up in better and better situations. Better training, better development, better opportunities. The “failures” have ultimately been major blessings.

Pretty sure ECNL requires you to have field space

New FCV coaches probably can’t spell ECNL.

They've genuinely assembled the worst coaching staff in Northern Virginia.

Notes from my DS. They are rostering 22. And coach will invite another 11 to “practice” to see if he missed anyone.

Have those invites gone out? Will kids get an email to let them know they didn’t make the cut?

Anyone get an invite to a practice after Sunday? Age group? Boys.

We attended the final 2010 ID session yesterday. No offer or rejection email yet.

uhhhhh nva players are mostly made up of locals on the younger teams and recruits from md/etc for older teams w some stars that survive the cuts. They will be fine ish… if they dont it’s because they ran out coach RA. Not that thats a bad thing

Can't think of any context where what you just said is a good thing.
Can't fit in anywhere, not wanted, burns bridges.

Wonder how much is the kid versus the parent

Rest assured, my kid has been with the same team and coach this year and has been invited back for next year. There was only one club that didn’t want my kid back - a few years ago - and they didn’t invite over half the team back. My kid was brought in to fix a specific problem and was put in a really difficult situation - playing out of position and couldn’t do it. Maybe wasn’t good enough at the time, but really wasn’t given enough of a chance, imo, and definitely not enough coaching. The following year, got caught on a team where the club changed coaches multiple times and we wanted to move on from the club.

No rejection is good. Bet kids get invited to practices.
