What got into his mind with that comment? I have to say that I am famous for saying dumb things, and even I know not to utter words like that.
I think he is tired. He should go to Hawaii and take a break. |

| Dumb slip. But he's done pretty well, overall. I can only count two other slips over the last two years - the "clinging to their guns" quote, and the "spread the wealth" quote. |

| Sorry if Sarah Palin had said the same thing the vibe would be completely different. It was rude and all the more so because Nancy Reagan has been going through a lot lately. He called to apologize because he had to--better he not make fun of 80 something year widows. |

"I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances." He said this after discussing that he had spoken to former presidents who were alive - and then, w/o thinking, blurted out those words. |

| Obama didn't have his facts right either. Nancy Reagan consulted with an astrologist and Hillary Clinton consulted with a spiritual advisor. Mary Todd Lincoln is the one who had seances. I guess speaking isn't so easy without the teleprompter. There will be more gaffes to come but I'm sure the press will go easy on their boy. |

The question led to that type of answer, but his response was too personal. When they asked if he has been speaking to past Presidents, he should have answered, "do you mean living ones?".
He is no comic, so he should keep his day job. |

I hear he just got hired for a new day job and plans to keep it for a while. As a good boss who hired a guy with a bit of a foot-in-mouth problem, he is kind enough to try to show Biden he's not alone. |

That's not what he meant. Because Reagan is dead, he was joking as to how he would "communicate" with him - through a seance, for example. And I'm sure what prompted that was his memory of Nancy calling on astrologers. |

Sorry Sarah Palin deserves a different vibe. She has blown so many questions, she no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt. You have to be trustworthy in order to be trusted. |
