Period is 15 days late- but I'm not pregnant. Grr...

I do tend to have irregular cycles, but this is pretty late. Tests are negative. Do you think I just skipped a cycle? I hate being waiting on tenterhooks, carrying around supplies should my period hit.

I just went through this. I'm nowhere near pre-menopausal age so after 3 weeks of a missed period, I went to my doctor. My home pregnancy test was negative. My blood test was negative for pregnancy. Oh, and no cysts. He switched my birth control pill and problem solved.

OP here. Hmm...I had cystic ovaries for awhile but after my 2nd kid, that cleared up. Maybe I should go back to the dr again? I'm not on hormonal birth control, but I am 37...maybe getting close to peri-menopause?

I skipped a period once last year when I was 37. The only other time that happened was when I was pregnant. I freaked out and went in to the gyn who did an ultrasound and a few other tests and came up with nothing at all. She said it happens to some women as they age.

It's probably not anything. I'm in my late 20's. 37 seems very young for pre-menopausal. I would give it a week or two more.

When did your mother go into menopause, I think early menopause is hereditary?

Wait until your next cycle and see what happens!

My period can be weeks late. It's just stress.

Damn. I think I got your period OP. I'm 46 and am having ANOTHER period. Had one 2 weeks ago. Then I woke up at 3am with cramps and bleeding.

Same thing happened in April/May: 2 periods within 2 weeks, then 4 weeks later a June period followed by this one 2 weeks later. Ugh.

How many times did you test?

OP here. I don't know...I was adopted and don't know my medical history.

Twice, days 8 and 9.

19:15 here. I don't know. Maybe. But I thought menopause was less frequent periods, not more frequent. I need to check with my mom about when she had menopause. I'm pretty sure it was much later. Haven't had any other symptoms.

I'm thinking it might be fibroids. I had a lot 13 years ago. Had to have surgery to get them removed before I could get pregnant.

OP,

Are you done having kids? You might consider birth control pills, or getting your tubes tied, or having DH get a vasectomy.

Peace of mind would be worth it, especially if you are irregular to begin with.
