OK, should I wait to test with the first urine of the day, or has enough time elapsed that I could test now and not wait till tomorrow?

My periods were regular as clockwork from age 14 until I had my daughter at age 36. After that, I had PMS-like symptoms every 28 days, but only had bleeding some periods and none for others. When I did bleed, it was literally a tampon's worth and no more. I asked the doc if I was peri-menopausal and she said no. No symptoms of menopause, and I assumed I was still fertile and went back on the pill. nothing was wrong or unusual. At 40 I went on Mirena and now I don't get a period at all.

OP here. Hmm...I had cystic ovaries for awhile but after my 2nd kid, that cleared up. Maybe I should go back to the dr again? I'm not on hormonal birth control, but I am 37...maybe getting close to peri-menopause?

When did your mother go into menopause, I think early menopause is hereditary?

Wait until your next cycle and see what happens!

OP here. I don't know...I was adopted and don't know my medical history.

I was also adopted so I'm in the same boat. My step mother was completely through menopause at 36 though, so it is not unheard of.

OP here. Tested again and NOT pregnant. Surely by day 17 or so, the test would be accurate. Oh well- I'll keep my eye on my cycles, if I ever get my period back!
