Yeah thanks to FCV, no homegrown VRSC players there

Home grown VRSC players will be aplenty on 2013 and future teams.

Didn't VRSC get a bunch of those future teams you're referencing from FCV also, like the 2014's and 2015's. While I'm at it, I believe alot of those 2013's were also FCV not all that long ago either.

Don’t know about 2015s but there definitely are a lot of former FCV players on the 2013 and 2014 black teams. However, I believe those teams have more legacy VRSC players than any of the GA teams have.

2014 Black, there are only 2 former FCV players. 2013 Black, there are only 4 former FCV players.

Fake news. I can’t speak to the 2014s but the 2013s are dominated by former FCV players.

There are more former rec players than fcv players on the 2014 team, stopped trolling. You're really bad at it. The 2013 is a little more heavy on former FCV but not dominated at all. I don't get other club parents obsessively stalking other club teams like this either. Unless this is a disgruntled second team parent, to which I say your kid wasn't good enough last year to make the top team, sorry. That's not any other player's fault. Club loyalty only goes so far and if your kid isn't at that level they game no business bumping up.

FCV’s entire 2014 North team moved to VRSC for the spring 2024 season before FCV had even completed its implosion, because FCV fired their coach between the fall 23 and spring 24 seasons. What happened to all those players?

They are mainly at 2nd team.

More than half of those girls are completely gone. Anyone claiming the fcv girls came and took over is lying in u12 and under. Most are gone or leaving after this year. Though a number of those 14s and 13s are team hoppers about to be on their 4th club move trying to get on better teams as mediocre talent. They were at FCV North for a reason and it wasn't that they were amazing soccer players.

No one is claiming FCV girls took over at any age group. The only claim, for U12 and above, other than U19, is that a significant number of FCV girls joined revolution this season and that influx clearly made those revolution teams much better than they were last year.

The 09's did. Thank goodness too, because that 09 Black team went winless in USYS NL the year before.

U15s and up are bad examples. I just want to see VRSC succeeed regardless of where the players came from, VRSC or FCV. Who cares what “saved” VRSC, it wasn’t CC’s fault players followed him after the FCV fallout. Same with VDA, players followed BP and now they are tops in NOVA.

Get over it, move on, and hope for the best. At this point all the top players want to go ECNL anyway and that is the real battle.

For whatever it’s worth to you all, the best players on our GA teams are not from FCV or VRSC. But please continue the convo. Fascinating thread on internal competition between you two. Just keep it classy and healthy.

Where are they from? If you won’t say which clubs, then describe the types of circumstances that prompt girls who become your best players to make a bet on what even VRSC’s supporters acknowledge is a work in progress? Why would someone who could play ECNL choose VRSC instead?

Nobody is choosing VRSC over ECNL. In fact, everyone knows VRSC is where leftovers and cuts from surrounding teams end up. That and their rich owner buying anything he can instead of building from the ground up is why VRSC will never be respected nor taken seriously.

You are the only one who thinks this way I guess because you are consumed by hate for this soccer club. It’s getting kind of weird, dude. Nobody else cares if they are buying instead of building or which kids play on the teams. To the rest of the us VRSC is just another soccer club no more no less. Why do you take kids soccer so seriously?

Great group of girls. And it’s fun and competitive. My DD and her soccer pals love their club. I do too. It’s that simple. Don’t over complicate your life. These aren’t complicated topics. Remember this is supposed to be the happy times in life. Good question however. Any others?

There is nothing wrong with this perspective of course but it is not why players on ECNL teams choose their teams. It will be interesting to see if VRSC attitudes take the next step in competitive soccer or if this becomes an impediment to attracting better talent.

Allow me to clarify post. We chose VRSC because of its GA national platform spawning up in the area. Fast forward and we know, GA is the place to be now. COINCIDENTALLY my DD fell in love with her team mates and the club and it’s been great for us parents. Our momentum to the top is undeniable.

Umm, we chose VRSC and in fact our DD could make any ECNL team in the area. We choose coach and teammates over a badge and not the other way around. Not worried about Colleges either. We figure College coaches have been doing this a lot longer than we have been in the game and know what they are looking for regardless of a badge. Also, academics first, soccer second.

We also know MANY parents like yourself, more worried about the chance at a P4 school more than anything else, regardless of how happy or unhappy your daughter. BTW, if you do go that route, and your DD is not a USWNT player or 1st team ECNL player, I hope your DD enjoys warming the bench for two years. And if she is, then you are a miserable person coming on here just to troll GA parents.

Have a happy Memorial Day weekend!

One has to remember, many “top players” fail when they get to college. Why? Because favoriting a player because they have a big kick or score goals doesn’t mean they are a top players. Many of even the best players from our area don’t make it past freshman year. It’s even worse at the professional level.
Anonymous
also in college is not pay to play anymore and mom and dad are not there asking the coach to play you in another position
Anonymous
FR... or you can't just go chasing a coach to play you.
Anonymous
Lucky for us our kid is many years away from college. Sounds like your DD is on her way soon? Good luck.

Probably not the coach I know at the club who joysticks everything during matches. It's like they have never worked on anything in training. Without him, they have no clue where to be or what to do.

Additionally, if you value your kid actually learning anything remotely akin to playing football he isn't the coach, unless you value bigger girls slamming their bodies into other girls because they don't know how to play.

And, oh yeah, they could use some more fitness training. I'm extremely happy we left for an ECNL club. Hopefully (probably), we will receive better coaching.

I see for 2013 and older the top 2 teams are titled MLS and Pre-MLS. 2 questions- is Pre- MLS their MLSNext 2 team? For the current season, where does the second 2013 team play?

You lost me at “ GA is the place to be.”

No I didn’t.

ECNL is dead in 2-3 years. Thx MLSN

To much emphasis placed on league here. In the context of local club play, how well your club does is most important.

It sure is interesting how fast posts get taken down on this thread. Folks cannot discuss favorites, FCV parents, prior poor business ventures by you know who, or the club bending the rules. So what can we actually talk about here?
