Here is what I think. We really screwed ourselves ( well not we, I did not do it). I think if the US continues on the horrible path it on, we will be like all the other countries you liberals love so much. We will have a very poor class of people looking for the handouts and the very rich, holding them down. I am not that worried, I will be one of the rich. I have worked hard for my life style. Those that can not work hard because they never had to, have no pride, lazy, feel like someone owes them something, the ones with their hands out, will suffer. Congrats to you all. I hope you were right in your choice.

What you describe is what we are saving ourselves from, thank you very much. I am glad that you have worked "hard" for your "lifestyle". We would not want to burden you and your lifestyle to create a better educational system, provide children with access to minimum health and nutrititional standards that will enable them to benefit from better education and to improve their skills and earnings, and to create sustainable economic opportunities to those that are willing to work hard in life but could not reach their potential without the generosity of those that are more fortunate. Thank goodness the majority of us understand that if you truly want to create economic benefits for yourself, you need to benefit those around us who either provide us with the goods and services that comprise our desired "lifestyle" or are consumers of the goods and services that result from our own hard work. At the end of the day, you reap what you sow. I'll bet on the farm that understands the social and economic underpinnings of sustainable economic development. Congrats to you, I hope that you are right in your choice to be ignorant of the sources of economic growth that benefit you as an individual?

Gotta go now, as I am working hard, as we speak, to spend your tax dollars to create better trained and more productive "producers" of your "lifestyle" choices and consumers of your hard work.

The horrible path we are on is thanks to GEORGE W BUSH and his crazy advisors. If we had known, four years ago, what the future had held under this guy, we all would have been too scared to vote for him.

A vote for Obama was to get us OFF this path. I can only pray that he can clean up some of the mess his predecessor has left him.

I think we just need to all take a deep breath and calm down.

I didn't vote for him and he's not my choice, but I am amazingly upbeat and excited today. The party in Grant Park last night was beautiful. The honking horns and people cheering in front of the White House (and in my NW neighborhood) last night was terrific. There is something exciting going on, and we can all play a part in it. OUR GENERATION has come up to bat! Can't we at least be proud of that, be proud of the fact that WE were the ones to elect the first African American president, and all wish him the best?

Nothing terrible has happened yet. Let's at least give him a chance.... right?

Yes, it is really shameful how all those Wall Street types went crazy with their creative and risky investments, spent it all on luxury goods, and then expect the government to bail them out while they're having a good time at the high end spa. They are so spoiled!
