Oh no, friend, Amen is acceptable! We take back the flag; we take back religion! But OUR religious beliefs are inclusive. We like gays in our congregations, we don't think "others" are going to hell b/c they are not the chosen few, and we believe in separation of church and state.

OP I agree we should not be giving handouts to lazy, greedy crooks that steal money from the country and pretend they are upstanding citizens just because they work on wall street. We should instead give breaks to hardworking citizens who contribute so much to this country and see hardly any return for it.

I don't get why repubs talk so much trash against lefties, when Bush is giving handouts to wall street and Palin gave Alaska oil profits to the Alaskan people. They are socialist and don't even realize it.

I didn't vote for him and he's not my choice, but I am amazingly upbeat and excited today. The party in Grant Park last night was beautiful. The honking horns and people cheering in front of the White House (and in my NW neighborhood) last night was terrific. There is something exciting going on, and we can all play a part in it. OUR GENERATION has come up to bat! Can't we at least be proud of that, be proud of the fact that WE were the ones to elect the first African American president, and all wish him the best?

Nothing terrible has happened yet. Let's at least give him a chance.... right?
