That’s classic based on Melania’s ugly green jacket while visiting the kids in cages.

Good riddance to that trash

The ones who will post 3-5 long paragraphs to a simple question like "how often do you grocery shop?"

There are a lot of long-winded people around here lately.

YES! I loathe these people, and I'm not a teacher.

Same! I think there are good arguments for opening schools but then some parents reduce everything to “teachers are lazy and just want to stay home in their pajamas.” Which is such a rude thing to say about the people who have been educating your children at no extra cost to you, and will continue to do so after we go back.

Yes, in the school posts you have:

1) The idiot teacher haters - "You just want to stay in your PJs" - so annoying.
2) The anti-parent DL forever boosters who say "You are selfish and need free daycare" even though you just said the problem was your high school student having trouble with AP Calculous BC
3) The DL forever people who are furious that you suggest ever returning to in person learning because their kids like DL better.
4) My personal favorite - the person who, when not supporting her teens in DL, is hiking through isolated areas of the DMV with her multiple teenagers who haven't seen another human being outside of their family since March but are nonetheless filled with joy each day.

OMG she was insane and I remember her so clearly

Yes, she’s all over the Politics forum. Plus calls anyone who disagrees with her (Dems or Rep) “Russian trolls” or “bots” or a variety of Russian names. She has distinctive writing style. I think she might be the “Huff and puff” poster. 😫😫😫

She's in health and medicine, too. Anyone who isn't in full COVID panic mode every time they open their front door is a "Russian troll" in her mind.

I don't know about "annoying" but I think DCUMs anti-redshirt posters are collectively the nuttiest group on DCUM, and that takes some work to accomplish. Their queen, the natural law anti-redshirt troll, is definitely annoying, though, because she is a relentless spammer in addition to being crazy.

(I didn't redshirt.)

The Doug Emhpff poster

The poster who gives relationship advice based on TV shows, movies, some celebrity or the royal family.

The political forum is basically a dumpster fire analogous to stan wars between teens you can't have a legit political discussion or give a valid critique without 40 posters freaking out and accusing you of all manner of things.

Anonymous wrote:The poster who suggests the name Biker for every baby name.

That person is my favourite DCUM poster. 'Biker' makes me giggle every time I see it because I just know that a quarter of the people on the thread don't know the person is mocking them.

The parent from my kid's school who complains to everyone about how disadvantaged her kids are due to DL and then posts the same garbage on here. We know it's you! Also, your kids are fine and your HHI is probably $300k-- you're not burning through your savings to pay for camp so your kids can do online classes outside while you bitch about our school on dcum.

There's one or two awful women here who love to call small children (like preschoolers) "trashy" for wearing character clothing. They also call Carter's and Target kids' clothing "trashy." I feel like they are vile people.

Anonymous wrote:I am one of the posters who reports regularly to Jeff.

My most annoying posters are the ones who post racist, misogynist, ageist, ableist, homophobic, or just plain nasty posts, because I then have to report them. Jeff deletes nearly immediately, but it's annoying to have to do it. It's hateful and awful.

After that, I hate the nasty wealthy SAHMs on this site who seem to enjoy saying terrible things to working women, especially those working women who work at jobs they deem beneath them. (Whenever I read them, I think that one of the Wives from The Handmaid's Tale is posting.) Similarly, I hate the nasty working women who disparage SAHMs. Finally, I hate the people who insist that one group or the other are the only ones bashed on DCUM. I regularly report vicious posts (which Jeff deletes), and I can assure you that I report evenly from both groups. If you think only "your" group is targeted on DCUM, it probably means you are being nasty yourself.

^^^^^ANNOYING^^^^^^

Post police with nothing better to do are the most annoying of the whole bunch. Complete fuddy duddys, and the Karens of the cyber world. UGH

Without the posters who help by sending in reports, the forum would be unusable. There is no other way we could keep the forum even reasonably close to civil (not that it is all that close anyway). Instead of criticizing them, you should be thanking them. I really appreciate their assistance. They contribute a great deal to this community.

My rule of thumb on reporting is if something is misleading enough that I am wanting to rage at the person (for example, people that intentionally misrepresent technical data relating to COVID or misquote people), it is probably better to report than to rage. Being rude just makes more work for Jeff.

Either that or when someone was literally harassing me in real life based on a post here (It happened -- recently). Jeff removed the posts that allowed people to ID me.
