I don’t think Californian would be too hurt. Succession might be better for them. California produced over 47 billion dollars in food production last year. California also has 32 military bases filled with all kinds of neat destructive gadgets. If the state of Washington went with California, the more the better. The loss of tax revenue and the close proximity to the remaining US would not be California’s problem, but everyone else.
