Why are white people all around the world not having kids?

Especially considering the posters who have pointed out that birth rates are declining around the world in places as diverse as China, Japan, Korea and Mexico, as well as across the African Continent ....

Yes, I worry more that many AA MC families can only afford one child. I come from a family of family of four and always wanted a big family of my own, but can barely afford two. My cousin and her husband have six but they work all the time and live in an exurb as a result. My ex is from a family of six but they were able to live in the suburbs and have a SAHM.

I didn't take it as racist. I think, in general, white people all around the world are having less kids. As you pointed out, there are other ethnicities that have declining birthrates, too, but not as a entire race.

my op was partially true - there is "white sadness and gloominess going around" but it is only restricted to the US where they are combating the sadness and gloominess with opiates, alcohol, and suicide.

That's why.

They are less likely to have extended family around for child care help, so they have to pay for it. And, they also have to pay more in taxes than anyone else. And, they seem to be more hesitant than other groups to have kids that they personally can't afford to take care of. So, lack of money to support more than one or two children is likely the reason. It does seem, though, as if there is a trend among rich white women to have 3 or more kids.

We don't really like kids. We don't want to spend 20+ years raising them. We don't need them in our old age (and don't think it is wise to count on them), because we have $$$.

The idea of an adult, raised family is appealing, but we're not really willing to make the sacrifices it takes to get there and we find it, at best, a risky bet.

Fess up.

You're just a barren bitch.

A herd of 4?

Other things humans weren't meant to: wear shoes, get braces, drive cars, eat ice cream, fly to Paris on an airplane to propose on bended knee beneath the Eiffel Tower. None of those things happened in the Environment of Evolutionary Adaptedness.

No kid who's one of four gets the amount of interaction and attention that my 2 get.

Nah. When yours are fighting and not getting alone so sulking in their room mine always have alternative playmates. Never lonely for a moment.

Oh really? Your 10 year old boy always wants to play with the 4 year old girl?

yeah

We have two - four years apart, and playing together is SOOO not the case. lol
