Seems like police officers who responded to a large gathering at Washington Square Park in NYC were rolled with snow and Ice but hundreds of people gathered there. There were about a dozen hospitalizations of officers due to facial lacerations from ice being thrown at their heads. Non of them arrested anyone and walked away form the crowd.

Police commissioner is asking for detectives to arrest the people responsible for the attacks and injuring officers. Mamdani is resisting any action against the crowds calling it a simple “snowball fight”. How the heck do you have officers injured by projectile ice and not support charges against the people who did it?

If I was an NYPD officer, I would be leaving NYC as soon as possible and work in a city that supports its officers. What a disgrace he is….

What a surprise. One of the criminals that injured a NYPD officer with an ice ball was arrested a few weeks ago for an attempted robbery on the transit system.

New Yorker here … if you are an NYPD cop that needs to quit because you got hit by a snowball in the line of duty, then you don’t belong here in the first place and I don’t want my tax dollars going towards your salary. I don’t know if you realize this but many Muslims are NYPD.the cop who was shot and killed by that disgruntled guy last year in midtown last year was Bengali.
