What was the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed forces supposed to do when a mob of hundreds have breached security at the US frickin Capitol Building and are hunting down the American VP to hang him?? Is this a serious frickin question? You have brought on a new level of stupidity to this conversation. |
If you’re saying Trump is weak, we all agree with that. It still doesn’t excuse his J6 failure. |
Instead, Manchin blamed Vice President Harris’ loss on her inability to cast herself as a moderate candidate after championing progressive issues during her first presidential run in 2019.
“If you try to be somebody you’re not, it’s hard,” Manchin said. https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/22/politics/joe-manchin-congress-democratic-party?cid=ios_app Remember when manchin saved democrats from the progressives which pushed the awful bbb bill by not voting for it |
Trump could have salvaged a tiny bit of positive legacy had he simply picked up the phone and offered assistance when he was being begged for help that day. I guess expecting our chief executive to pick up the phone when his VP is being chased to the basement of the Capitol Building is too much to ask. |
Folks steal elections and then get mad when people get mad at that? Hmm. |
A "stolen" election still wouldn't excuse dereliction of duty from a POTUS when our Capitol Building is under attack. That's what an oath to protect is all about. Moron. |
I don’t know about mad. Disappointed sure. He’s going down in history as this country’s weakest President. He was either incompetent, scared, or enjoying it. |
Posse Comitatus? |
Protect those who stole it you mean. |
Exactly, we almost needed to call on the American people to protect the country since Trump decided to go AWOL for three hours. |
How about how Biden has been awol at our border for more than 3 years. The Capitol was bad, disavowal of or border integrity for more than 3 years was far worse. Send in troops there. |
Yes, that's absolutely terrible too. Not as terrible as the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces going AWOL when the Capitol Building is under attack nut definitely terrible. This Biden and Trump awfulness if what you people asked for when voting for them. Way to go! |
I would rather defend Trump over Biden in a court of law. Trump’s situation was much more chaotic, there were mitigating factors (Pelosi turning down the national guard was an admission of “we got this, not you”) and he did finally engage. Biden acted with premeditated calculation over a sustained period of time notwithstanding the human cost of hundreds of thousands of lives. Plus the failure to protect the border. What a psycho. Then again, someone who would cut and run from their injured kids while they were in the hospital, steal some other guy’s wife, shower with his daughter etc etc etc should have been counted on for just about anything. |
Several observations.
First, the amount of pearl-clutching about the supposed "insurrection" on 1/6/21 is ridiculous. If the most powerful military the world has ever seen was in danger of being defeated by a few hundred idiots, then our military needs more resources and training. This was a riot perpetrated by some morons. Our government was not in danger of being overthrown, everyone knows that and it's why J6 was not a big factor in many people's votes this year. Second, it is interesting that when a riot endangers the very important people on Capitol Hill, it suddenly becomes a bad, terrifying thing. But when riots happened across our cities all throughout the summer of 2020, destroying property and endangering lives every night, it was all ok because it only affected the unwashed little people. People criticizing J6 would have more credibility if they also criticized the summer 2020 riots happening every night. Riots are bad, period. There are not good riots and bad riots. |
So, if they are admitting he's mentally incapacitated, then, every executive order, bill and pardon he's made become null and void under our legal system right? |
