It works. Nobody is going to help Iran, because nobody is under any illusions they can prevail against Israel or the U.S., separately or together. The death toll is going to be massive. Trump has triggered a catastrophe.

The only hope at this point is for him to declare victory on the basis of Khamenei’s death and end operations now. Then MAGA can spin and brag about cunning Trump is not to get dragged into another forever war. Nothing will have changed but it might save lives.

If Trump keeps at it though, it really will disintegrate into an uncontrollable conflagration. It’s already too late for the U.S. KIA but I hope Trump will move quickly on to the next distraction.
